Maybe it's just a PTR fling?

It's not. T_T He changed colors on me. *sigh* At least the orange one is the vendor mount, so I still get both.

I'm slightly annoyed that Horde get the Red Direhorn and Alliance get the Gold One.

at the least, we should have gotten Blue. -.-

Isn't the alliance colors blue and gold? I think the gold direhorn looks great especially with the nice blue saddle or whatever you want to call the chair on its back . Since Horde colors are red and black would everyone have been happier if the horde received a black direhorn, actually i would have lol. Sometimes the colors don't always appeal to personal taste. For instance I much prefer the dragonhawk alliance got compared to the orange not red one we got. Add to this that the boss drops the blue one which makes sense and black mounts are generally reserved for pvp I'm not sure how else they could have gone.

I think it's more annoying because the Red Direhorn is Red and Black, the Horde colors, but the Golden Direhorn is Gold and Brown.

Whereas the Blue Direhorn is Blue and Gold, the Alliance Colors.

I could even give some lenience if the gold was Gold and Purple, the Kirin'tor colors, but no.

If they switched Horridon's color to the cream/brown and made the alliance one the blue/yellow that would work better maybe...

However I am sure they've done what they did for a reason, even if we don't know what it is yet...

Yeah I was really wondered that too, I was left thinking... you know you have Blue and Gold one right, you know, the EXACT colours of the alliance... but cream/browns good too?

I agree the brown one the Alliance gets is a little drab in comparison. But I think we got by far the prettier dragonhawk mount But if they were going to choose a dire horn that wasn't blue or red they could still have done better than one that is the colour of clay. I don't think it's bad, just not eye-catching. I would have thought the white one was closer to "gold" than this brown one anyway, and is much more stunning.

They could return the *original* blue skin as a second blue colour for this! The two blues have similar colour schemes but are still visibly different. We can always hope

Welp, as of now the Armored Skyscreamer is the meta reward. Requires heroic mode of most of the bosses, and regular special achieves as usual.

Looks like I'll have to wait a good year to get it, until 5.3 is here and the raid is eventually turned cross-realm, upon which I might be able to get an OpenRaid group.

Maybe add a different-colored one that's slightly easier to get? Please?

This Direhorn comes from the Silver Covenant?! I'm a little confused about the faction Direhorns and where they come from, the two new factions or somewhere else entirely? I read through this thread and couldn't find anything about it, plus I'm terrible at navigating Wowhead

It's the old Dalaran factions moved to the Isle of Thunder. New reputation is needed.

Oh god I'm so glad they changed the flying animations for the skyscreamer mount(s). I was so annoyed they used the proto-drake ones... which I hate. >___>
