Thought people might wanna check this out on wowhead.com

So you can buy an upgraded heirloom or trade in your old one for a free upgrade?

I'm hoping that's the case.

Not really free, you have to trade your old loom in AND pay the same JP cost you paid for it before, in order to get the 1-85 one.

"For upgraded heirlooms, these new heirlooms will not replace the old heirlooms. Instead, players can upgrade their old heirlooms by turning them in along with their initial Justice Points price. These heirlooms have the same stats as the old heirlooms, but will be able to be used from 1-85, instead of 1-80."

Which to me seems rather expensive...

That is very expensive. We paid for our old stuff fair and square. Why take more from us? -_-;

So not worth the extra cost. I'll just level from 80-85 the old fashioned way in that case. Forget wasting all my JP on that.

Hopefully this is something they will reassess.

I gave up using heirlooms long ago. They completely destroy the leveling experience for new toons by making it go too fast and making you far too overpowered. You never get to get gear upgrades from quest rewards either. I hate heirlooms and consider them the second worst addition to the game ever implemented, trailing only Arenas.

I like heirlooms but I do like seeing my character in different appearances too so it's got it's pros and cons.

That's why I usually mog my Looms
I do hope that they re-assess the cost up upgrading BoA's, I dont see many people doing these costs for a an added 5 lvs, especially really easy levels.

I know I wont and I have all the looms, even have double of some sets. Upgrading at the original cost + the old item is freakin stupid.

I do too if I find somethin I like.

I would only upgrade it if the looms grants the same stats, bonus and include mastery equivalent to cata(80-82) and mop (83-85) blue quality gears.

So not worth it. Even worst for new players who hit lvl 90 and after awhile decide to start an alt, they'd have to pay double the cost just to get the heirlooms to 85, no one in their right mind is going to pay for it.

Excuse my french but....screw that.

I really hope they reconsider and just replace the current BoA's with the 1-85 ones. The cost of the BoA's already is high enough that its not going to be game breaking.

Seriously?!?!?!?!? let's announce that we're gonna upgrade the BoA you had to grind Justice Points out the wazoo to get (like many others, I have complete sets of all, and a couple duplicate sets) woot! then let's announce that we're gonna make it ridicously exspensive.... nice epic crotch kick

No one said YOU had to use them....

That aside, this does seem to be a big "screw you" to anyone who has a lot of alts they want to level... Imagine having to buy more than one set too for multiple armor classes.. Ouch!

I just knew it. It sounded way too good to be true. I knew there was some grinding involved. Which means, I won't be upgrading any of my heirlooms.

I'm not trading mine in. With all the guild exp bonuses and whatnot I plowed from 80-85 in less than a day with just my helm and cloak. It's just not worth it.
