The new mounts have ground animations now it seems! Maybe it means we'll be able to tame them.

Oh, those would make lovely additions to the raptor family. I'll keep my fingers crossed they end up somewhere being tamable :)

Are there other colors other than the one that is linked?

When I saw the picture of it I was kind of unimpressed. Seeing its run animation has made me decide that I must have that for a ground mount. It's like some kind of derpy vulture.

Pft. Derpy vulture indeed. I'd tame one! And ride with him with my Ravenlord. :3

It's cute and all.. But I kinda wish they'd stop using the Ravenlord and Protodrake Animations/Skeleton for everything x.x

Oh please, Blizzard, make this tamable.

It's SO DERPY. The eyes don't point forward, they point off to the sides. And that swishy, fluffy tail! Oh, this is a pet that would never leave my side. If it's tamable, I might even "evolve" Genghis.

I would love a feathered raptor as a pet. I'm not entirely sure its a raptor, with the beak and all, but close enough. Dinosaurs most likely were feathered, after all.

I think it's a chick on the archeopteryx-like looking primal phoenix thingies, likr the boss Ji-kun for example.

I want it tameable anyway <3

Umm... What?!?!

Certainly no evidence to suggest that a brontosaurus or many others were feathered.

Saying they all were would change many many books and theories... :geek:

It's a common misconception that either all or no dinosaurs were feathered. Current evidence points to most of cretaceous theropods having some feather dressing. However outside of this group, it might have been rather rare. Sauropods, like the "brontosaurus" were mostly jurassic and IIRC there are no feathered dinosaurs from that period.

A lot of dinosaurs aren't what we remember from our childhood anymore though. PorrasouxRex posted a link in the old Direhorn thread that shows the difference between then and now. It is one year old so it's possible new discoveries where made, but it is still worth reading it.

Raptors on the brain. Sorry. I should have been more specific. Raptors probably had feathers of some sort, along with many other dinosaurs, especially the later ones. Not all of them had them and we really don't know much about what they really would have had. But some were feathered. Wasn't very clear on that >.>

T-Rex's parents had feathers http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2012/ ... -feathers/ it also holds the record for being the biggest fluff ball ever (and having the biggest overbite).

Whaddya mean? This is only like the second time they're using either of those animations/skeletons! :X And the Raven Lord is using the Raptor skeleton, anyway! >_>

Third on the Proto skeleton. Once for Protos, once for Fire Hawks, and now this. :/ It is getting a bit old. Third on the Ravenlord too. Once on Ravenlord, once on Ravenlord On Fire, and now this pet-- er... creature.

The latter, I don't mind so much personally, the mounts being one per go (only Ravenlord, only Ravenlord On Fire, no recolors for them right now), but the Proto-skeleton has multiples each time compared to the Ravenlord skeleton. Of course, Ravenlord's appearance is also slapped onto Anzu and a quest mob in Hyjal, making it more common place, but that just goes to show that it should be a pet cause it has animations!

I want one.
