Giraffe Calf question

For a team with a Giraffe Calf should I have both healing abilities? Or it is alright to have just 1? Thank you!

I am not sure I actually understand what your asking...What abilities you pick for your battle pets depends on what strategy you are trying to go for, what other pets you have, and who you are trying to beat. There is no "set" skill your battle pets "must" have. Its not meant to be that simple.

Again, that all depends on which trainer you are facing and who is on your team... 
Pretty much just toy around with the abilities in fights and see what works best for you. If having the two heal abilities makes thing easier for you, then go ahead, if having only the one works then do that.
