I was leveling my paily though NR and ran across worms using this skin:



Interestingly enough they also appear to have a proper burrow animation as they were wandering around using it. Not sure if they're tamable, but I found them by the dragon skeletons in the North end of Dragonblight. I believe between crystal Vice and the Rest place. I was busy questing and so didn't pay too much attention until I noticed that this skin is marked as unused.

Just tried and can say that hey are not tamable.

Confirmed not tameable.

I wonder if that's intended; those used to be proper Jormungers.

Sadly, these have been around for quite a while.
Checking the Wowhead page reveals that nothing has changed.
These mobs aren't involved in any quests, and so remain unnoticed by most players.

Believe me, I want them tameable too! One of these tunnelers could keep my Amber Parasite and Gorishi Grub company.

In that particular area of DB, theres normal Jormungar worms and then these guys which are like the larval stages of the adult ones. Shame they arent tameable, they're my favorite larva skin

As Equeon said, they often go unnoticed but mostly cause the goblin trio Narf, Zort, and Troz who sits right where these guys romp around have no quests that lead to them (that ive come across anyways when questing) and they and the harpies they ask you to kill are in general in a nearly no-traffic area ^^ Even when flying overhead I often dont notice them down below on the minimap or on the ground.

Regardless though, shedding new light on these guys is awesome since they really do go unnoticed and are a gorgeous combination of grey and blue! One day.. one day i hope they will be tameable..

Aw too bad. I am not that big on the maggots but the colors on this one are amazing.

I was gonna say, I think that Tape, my original worm pet was a tunneller and he had a standard Jormungar skin.

Well they do have a burrow animation, so at least maybe the tamable for the moment parasites will get one. They seem to use the same skeleton, so it would be nice.

Yeah, they were definitely always there. I did go to check on them when the Amber Parasite became tameable.

these have been here since Northrend, actually, and yes, they've always looked like that. They're part of a quest in the area.

I farmed these poor things for eons for worm meat when leveling my cooking and getting scales for LWing. I remember them quiiiiiite well. Poor l'il things.
