I signed up a few days ago. I swear it was like a whole freakin' resume! XD

Im so excited for ESO! I died when i saw the very first trailer of the game and died again when i saw the animated trailer

While id love to sign up for beta, im far too busy for at least another couple months to play online games so alas im going to have to wait for live :<
But at least i wont get frustrated at any constant bugs and glitches that beta has XD That and spoilers are probably -thee- main reason i dont play beta for games very long.

I hope it does not end up sucking.

im so with you there, i need moar online games away from WoW that i'll play regularly D: But i also want it to not suck because even if i like it in the end, if no one else does, i wont have anyone to play with >_>

Most likely have a monthly sup but not sure if they might do it the same way as GW 2 did.. but defo not f2p

Whomever is responsible for that Elder Scroll Cinematic, needs to get on the WoW movie team so it doesn't fail! Never gotten into Elderscrolls, but that Cinematic...That was freakin epic!!!!!

._. ugh dammit.. well, hopefully they'll keep their facebook page updated on the beta and maybe it'll be worth the money. Cant afford 2 subs at once so it'll either be a month on WoW or a month on ESO at a time. I hope its a reasonable sub price and the choice to have several character slots. To have only a few char slots is a real deal breaker.

Anyways, i'll stop questioning what might be, im jumping too far ahead of myself, im just so anxious to start seeing real players out in the field playing the world as newbies

What do you mean tho by 'the same way as GW 2 did'? GW2 makes you pay a single fee and then you can play as much as you like, only spending money for certain game stuff. Completely free to play, but pay for perks.

Truly F2P games doesn´t cost anything to buy/download - so GW2 is not F2P as it cost money to purchase

Ahhh, my understanding of F2P is where you can freely play the game, but to gain specific little things, you pay for it.

A lot of online games you just go right to the web for like Perfect World or NeoSteam, they cost money for perks, but its a straight up download, they classify themselves as F2P which is where i got my understanding of it from 83 Since they're lowscale and not openly advertised to the masses, its understandable in my eyes for them to not require a purchase to download whereas ESO and GW2 are huge big names and can get away with purchase downloads.

found this video of someone who ran through the alpha version and got somewhat of a grasp of what's going on. Playstyle is identical to skyrim, theres phasing quests, TONS of dynamic features, you can group or run solo, doesnt matter how you play, just simply doing something in general will help your team's war effort (so like real war on a grand scale), you can seige areas BUT they will not instantly rebuild, you need to use your own resources to rebuild building damage and are susceptible to invasion but theres alternative methods to successful takeovers. Its all in the video 83 it sounds pretty awesome so far!

Well you can still call GW2 a F2P game. As there is no monthly fee.

It may sound awesome but I would not get your hopes up. It still could suck major assballs. It's better to be neutral then to think it'll suck or be good. Like me I can see how it could be good and I'd like it to be but I also can see how it could suck too.

The video is mostly just the guy talking, it doesnt show much combat or how everything will really play out. It's also the alpha so theres a lot missing, a lot that hasnt been revealed and much of it im sure will be reworked a couple times at least. Beta isnt out yet i think, i didnt sign up so i dont know if you can jump into it right now, but so far it's impressive, but its all just words till i actually see people make their own personal videos doing the quests, dungeons, pvp, etc.

The thing I have fear about is how they are doing the servers. It's just one giant server. That could work really well or be the king of lag. I have fear of what it could be.

With the sheer amount of phasing that will be going on, im rather concerned about that ontop of how the servers will happen. I've never thought much about servers but looking at WoW, i hope they take that approach in that we can choose from several servers (not as many as WoW mind you, they should of offered free transfers off low pop realms instead of hucking CRZ at us), be able to freely make new characters on other servers (unlike GW2, another reason aside from several gameplay annoyances i stopped playing), and offer paid transfers to move characters around to different servers.

I've definitely learned, despite all the reviews and guides and videos i watched for GW2, that games can be a huge hit or miss so im definitely by no means gonna make the mistake again xP GW2 is gorgeous, but definitely not for me unfortunately, tho i'll prolly play once in a while cause i love Charr <3 ESO may very well be, depending on how things play out, end up the same way or really entice me to be a regular player like WoW did. Its always the little things that i mostly pay attention to. Things that people usually overlook.

Its not one giant mega server. Its a server which puts you in a "subserver" depending on your gaming preferance like PvP, PvE etc. They explain it in one of the videos

I accually expect NOT to like it cause i think the video i linked to showed alittle to much violence to my preference. And when i see hubby play skyrim its mostly humanoids he is killing - so not convinsed this is the game for me... but i dont mind trying it out.. i could be wrong.

How long does it usually take for a game to launch onces it announces beta?

Yes I know I've watched that video but that's still one server. It just puts you in other parts in that server. and if the main server has a problem and crashes the subservers would too as they are part of it.

I'm worried as it could make the game unplayable. The videos they go on about how it's better then how MMOs work now but there is a reason MMOs use more than one server XD

But of course I will wait and see. Just saying what I see that's all.
