Things to do before 5.2.... (or not do)

So, 5.2 is coming, possibly in 4 weeks, more likely 5-6. So, what do you need to get done before that? Some thoughts...

1) Finish 5.1 faction questline/rep
2) Finish 5.1/5.0 Black Prince quests (I wish the valor one showed your progression...)
3) Finish with your farm/Tillers, so you can take ownership
4) Prioritize gear upgrading.. There's not a lot of point in grinding valor to upgrade an item that might easily be replaced with a rep reward or LFR drop early in 5.2. Upgrading raid drops isn't bad, but you might not want to bother with upgrading 476 gear since it will be replaced.
5) Clear a stable slot or two...

Remember that there with be a valor and conquest reset, so don't get caught with valor and conquest that get downgraded. Get that last item, and then take a break..

So far, the only stable change I have planned for 5.2 is changing my Goat for a Direhorn...need to think of a name. Thorne is my working name for now

I'm guessing that the items for Klaxxi archaeology will be bought with Restored Artifacts, so will make sure I have a few of these on hand.

Will finally finish up August Celestials sometime this week, then will only have Shado-Pan dailies left.

Still working my way toward the Singing Cricket, will try to guess which mini-pets will be good for the new pet battle dailies and level those up.

So far, I think my list will be the following:

I) Finish Legendary Quest - Valor points needed
II) Organize Stable - Release Bloodtooth model to prepare for the new thunder turtles
III) Get as many rare wild pets as possible (if not all) to not have to worry about that in 5.2 with damage from fleeing
IV) Raise my Warlock to level 90 - I want to do that Flame Quest
V) Beat the spirit trainers and get them on farm


At the moment that's all I can think of.

Feb 15– PTR set to stage 3. Daring players can infiltrate the mines and blast open the doors to the Thunder Forge.
Feb 19 – PTR set to stage 4. Block further Zandalari reinforcements by overtaking the shipyard.
Feb 22 – PTR set to stage 5. Fight your way to the Thunder King’s front door! Jaina and Lor’themar will have a ... reckoning.

Hoping to get my warrior to 90 with a bit of gear when 5.2 hits (46% on the way from 89-90 currently). Love my hunter but it's nice to have a different class to mix things up, and I'm not sure how well 5.0 LFRs will run once the patch hits...

Other than that, I'll have to buy my trillium bars for the Wrathion quest before the prices skyrocket once it's live.
