The Burning Legion is comin'.

Unread post by Crotalus Horridus »

Does anyone else think the meteorites that fell in Russia and San Francisco are a sign of the Burning Legion coming to Earth?

Either that or aliens.
Aren't the races that make up the Burning Legion essentially aliens? They probably are considering they're from other planets and such.
I'm just gonna leave em' as aliens.

Er, meteorites crashing into planets is a normal occurrence. Like, it will definitely depend on the size and density of the gravity field of the planet if debris ends up in the atmosphere or not, and the size and materials the debris is made of will depend on if it burns up into nothing or actually hits with any degree of power. We see meteor's all the time in the form of 'shooting stars'. I personally don't think it strange, bizzare, scary, confusing, mysterious, or suspicious. :)

After all, planets were formed by masses of explosions which eventually condensed gas into well, denser gas which created their own gravity which dragged in more and more gas and debris. I watched a documentary on the universe from its origins to its future but I cant remember the name of it. I believe it described that some planets pressurized gas into a state of solid matter. Meteor's are technically just shrapnel from explosions caused from things like star's or dragged in via a planets gravity field (if it has a dense enough field to actually force the meteor into the planet's atmosphere that is).

Why yes, I'm sure that those who thought the world would end in December of 2012 are having those very thoughts right this instant.

I know, but what baffles me about this is that people are actually paying attention to it even though it happens all the times. Same thing happened with that mass die off of birds and fish that happened a while back, really. Stuff like that happens all the time, yet people happened to pay attention to it.

Other than that, I think I'll keep my theory that an angry army of demons is going to hunt us down and turn Earth into a crispy cesspool of fel energy.

Yep.
Conspiracy theorists are starting to think that the meteorite in Russia was shot down by airplanes, which not only is silly to think (It's a large hunk of rock, not another airplane) of, but is rather unrealistic, as either way it's going to hit the ground and do some damage. Plenty of other conspiracies will also pop up, obviously.

People are paying attention to this one because of the large amount of people who got hurt. Yes things crashing into earth may happen all the time but they don't hurt that many people most of the time.

Last I heard the Russian one injured around 1,000 people, which compared to the current human population and the national birth rate per day would easily be replaced in very little time. And the San Francisco one has no recorded injured people yet.

If, let's say, a meteorite hit China (Clearly a highly populated country) and nearly wiped out the human residents there, then that would be quite news worthy, as it would be dealing a significant amount of damage to the human population as a whole.

I just wonder how many people are now camping the site, waiting for the Minfernals to respawn.
