So I've seen a few threads on the WoW forums so I thought I'd ask the mount lovers of Petopia this question: Should the drop rate of the Big Love Rocket be increased?

At the moment its something extremely low as 0.03% (on wowhead) and so far I've seen one this event on my server (and its a relatively high population server). I personally think it should be on par with the other holiday mounts like the HH, Brewfest Mounts, chance of the Easter Egg one etc as you only have 2 weeks to farm one. I understand the need for rareness but I don't think it should be in the league as the Onyxian Drake or Fiery Warhorse but thats just my POV

Whats your thoughts?

I agree - you want the rareness, but you would like to be able to obtain it as well without having to spend a lifetime to get it as well.

(Even with the "higher" chance, I'm still yet to see Headless Horseman's Reins drop and I love the horse models... sigh)

I understand the desire to have some things rarer than others, but I believe that also should be weighed up against the enormous number of players who will try their very hardest by running it every possible time, every year for years, and still never see it. It's kind of more than a bit miserable. Plus the mount is no longer brand new. It might be nicer if they make things extra rare for a year or two then slowly increase the rate as they're no longer novel.

This, a thousandfold.

If something is TOO rare, then a player is likely to stop playing rather than hang around for just that drop.

I quite like the idea of slowly bumping up the % drop rate over time as well. I too think that these super rares should be super rare, but as the years tick on they then slowly increase.

Maybe even if they had an item that is added to the Lovely Merchants event vendors? Something like....

Use: Increases your "Big Love Rocket" luck by 5% for 30min. (1 Min Cooldown)

Every year they could keep increasing the buff by a 5% or so on the new version.
This could also inspire people to further participate in the events activities each year to earn the currency to purchase the new/next year’s higher % buff.

Anyways, just an idea, but I would love some way to ease the pain.

As someone who has still not gotten the Headless Horseman mount to drop, I heartily agree that the drop chance on this rocket should be raised. xD I have bad enough luck.

Ditto for me too - Headless Horseman & Brewfest Kodo (plus the Love-Rocket) are holiday mounts that I just can't get to drop. Only lucky one I've ever had was the Brewfest Ram.

Heh, I got the ram... By getting the tickets the first year of Brewfest. Still no kodo. Other rare drop mounts like me enough, but apparently not the event ones.

So far in the 3 years that the mount has existed, I've never even seen it drop. I've been running the dungeon every day this year, but I'm not holding out much hope. Somehow this one seems even more rare than the other holiday mounts, but maybe that's just my perception. I don't think I even know anyone who owns one, haha.

Same I got the ram back when there was two too. Back when cows could only ride wolves and kodos XD

I wish the big love rocket dropped as easy as a real love rocket hahahahaha man that's a lame joke cow go in the corner >.>

The drop rate on this thing is ridiculous. I have all the other holiday mounts, as I'm lucky enough to be able to run the bosses several times a day, but despite running this place 13 times a day, every single day this year, I haven't even seen someone else win it. I haven't even seen anyone riding it on any of the servers I am on. I think it's probably about time they increased the drop rate...

That was one of the reasons I was so happy when we got account-wide mounts. The first year, I managed enough tickets to get both rams on my warrior and a swift one one on my hunter. I figured that was more than enough work for one year and that I'd grind tickets for more rams for the other characters the next year. Then the things became drops. Ugh.

I actually got one last year, and one of my group members heartily cussed me out for it too! I rarely ever use it because people just whisper "you lucky bleepity bleep" most of the time.

I wish this thing would drop more, so sick of the grumpy aura it has.

The drop rate is way way too low, I know people like the whole "rare" thing but stupid "rare" is just stupid lol.

Haven't even seen anyone riding one in forever, out in the world or in town. That mount is just too damn rare.
