Being a female, sometimes I like when my character is a bit "sexy". I suppose it depends on that character, her story and her role (warrior, mage, etc.). For instance, Rhyela likes a little bit of skin to show, but not too much. I mainly like a little bit of leg and arm, but definitely no bikinis for her. My mage in Dragon Age: Origins, on the other hand, is full-on powerful and sexy and she knows it, so she likes cleavage and thigh and the whole nine yards (she and Zevran are a perfect match).

So yeah, it all just depends for me.

It's kind of funny; I'll accept it to a certain extent on ranged classes, since it's basically a taunt, where no one can touch you, so you don't need the protection. But melee classes, I just roll my eyes. Except druids, who shapeshift anyway, and rogues, who also have the "can't touch me" mentality.

I used to draw a much harder stance on it all....I blame transmog.

Yes, any female warrior I play in any game is generally fully armored. The only thing that might be hanging out is some forearm or something, but that's it. As a matter of fact, it often annoys me that for males, heavy/plate chest armor covers the arms completely while the same piece on a female is more like a tank top or a T-shirt at best.

As a straight male, I can appreciate looking at female toons in "sexy" sets regardless of the armor type (animal races, undead, and gnomes being the only exceptions). I can also say that after awhile, it can get stale, so I also appreciate it when I see female toons in more "conservative" sets. Just my 2 cents.

I'll take this opportunity to share a picture that I commissioned last year from an artist who often goes by the name Dustmeat, whose work I really enjoy. It's a picture of my male Tauren warrior, as he'd appear in some of the plate sets if the 'female version' appeared on everybody:

Aye it is, thats a Castanic. Other races have skimpy armor too but Castanic's are by far the worst Some of it looks cool and others you're stuck going..eh o.O?
