So suddenly I realize I can no longer cancel cobra shot by moving jumping or turning around, rendering my ability to reliably interrupt short casts pretty much nil.

Can anyone shed a light on how the heck I can cancel a cobra shot ... shot, so i can interrupt, say, a dinomancer's heal?

Press "Escape?"

build a macro like:

/stopcasting
/cast silencing shot

?

Stopcast macro might work. Escape would be difficult with my setup.

Isn't it due to a glyph, or is it just inherent now?

I dunno about anyone else, but my stopcasting macros are broken and it's ticking me off to no end. -_-

I have no silencing shot OR cobra shot glyphs. :c

I've had a /stopcasting macro'd with my Kill Command, but I think I'm going to add it to Silencing Shot, too.
Right now if I need to stop casting it's faster for me to hit 3 (Kill Command, wheras Cobra Shot is 2) than it is to hit Escape. The stopcasting part works even if KC's on cooldown.

If you want to make stopcasting macro as hunter, you must put /stopcasting twice to macro.

Like:
/stopcasting
/stopcasting
/cast {uber shot}

This seems to be, because first one stops auto-attack, but Cobra Shot still continues. Second /stopcasting in turn stops Cobra.

OMG I cannot thank you enough!! My stop casting macros haven't worked and it never was a huge issue until the change to cobra shot. Very annoying esp since I'm getting back into pvp. Hopefully this will do the trick!

Dang. I never would have thought of that. Now for a stupid question: will we need to hit the macro multiple two or three times in order to stop both auto attack, cobra shot, and then fire the desired shot?

I confess to being a macro noob. The first time I ever used one it was the warrior fear-breaking combo and that was for Onyxia. It was a couple years before I ever used any other macros on any of my characters.

If you put /stopcasting twice (like I posted) you only need to use macro once, no need to spam it.
