It took me about 2 hours to finally get the tome to tame the dire horn. It cant believe the drop rate is to the tome. But at least one thing is good i almost have all the different color dire horn pets now.

Congrats! It took a long to drop for me as well. The little pets are super cute though!

im on hour 4 and no drop... all 4 pets tho!

Took me about 15 kills and 3 pets (2 of which were the same). A friend of mine got hers on the first kill.

Should probably mention that my gear is fairly poor since I have the worst luck with drops and only have 2 pieces of heroic dungeon gear with the rest being pretty much quest gear. Tue dinomancers aren't hard at all, and only had to silence shot them once for each one. I could pull 2 at a time without much problem.

I got like 5 pets and then finally the tome in 10-12 kills. I also had no problems soloing the guys at my Ilvl of 485 and all Raid Finder gear. Most of the time, they never even got to use their heal.

Took me about 6 kills to get a tome, which is good because it was really hard to kill those guys with my hunter "skills" I got a red direhorn, good luck to everyone still trying.

Got mine after ~30 kills. Which took me quite a few hours because of how populated Proudmoore is. Lol.

Ended up with one of each pet and 3 or 4 extras.

I was shocked when the Tome dropped for me after only about 10 kills, usually RNG is much, much less forgiving.

The island was busy, but surprisingly there was never a wait for Dinomancer spawns, there was always some up somewhere, so most people just went around in a rotation.

It was crazy on WrA. Pretty much every spot was being camped constantly so I waited a while and went later. It was a bit better and I found a spot that wasn't too populated.

It took me about 2 hours of farming to get my book, but I got 3 pets. Since no one was around, I farmed a bit longer for the 4th pet. I ended up with several extras too.

I'm so glad I stayed up to get mine then! Only me and 2 other hunters on the island when I went to farm and i think it took an hr? I got all 4 pets (several times lol! didn't even know they dropped so was like "hey omg!") and about 40 bones. Got my book and tamed my gorgeous blue direhorn and a yellow devilsaur (just cause i liked the look of em ).

I'm going to assume it will be swarming this evening as every hunter on Barth realises what they have to do lol!

I spent almost all afternoon helping folks farm tomes. It honestly wasn't too bad. We all got all of the pets. I tamed a blue direhorn, though I'm torn by the green one... Can't pick between golden or black/blue devilsaur.

I got mine within an hour.

Eadgyth got it after 57 kills, Mozag after 2, and Lazuli after about 30 or so. I still have one more hunter to do, and am desperately hoping for good luck with the drop as it was rather frustrating and I have countless mini-pets now as well.
