Ok so now that I caught the bugger i need a good name for him. I want a badass or strong name. Not like a pretty name.
My pets I do have named are Striker my wolf, Rhage my Black devilsaur, and windstrike my Autona. I might call him Haka. Its the name of a badass Māori war dance.
Any suggestions, and what did you name your guy's Loque

Loque. All my rares still have the names their mommies gave them at birth. (Loque, Gondria, Skoll, Nuramoc, Aotona)

I named mine Raiden- after the lightning dude lol it would have fit Skoll more, but I named him Raito (japanese name for Light) and it seems to fit for some reason.. so it works for me lol.

umm theres Barron, Strife, Draco, Malik, just names off the top of my head.

My Loq is named Jakuta. Wanted something different so I decided to look through a list of names of gods. Was just about fed up with all the too-familiar names when I came across African gods names. Figured the basin probably did look like I imagine the congo to look so I went down the list and found Jakuta, an African god of fire and light. The moonfire effect seemed to fit perfectly so that's where he got his name. Now I just need Blizz to up his damage and we'll be good to go.

My Loque is named Kyndri, which, yes is very girly. She's the "grown-up" version of my ghostsaber, who was named after a random NPC in Auberdine. I'm thinking of changing it to just "Kyn" since Kyndri is kinda her kitten name and "Kyn" sounds more mature to me.

As far as your Loque (yay!) goes, I actually really like the name you first thought of: Haka.

Ukko, Finnish god of the sky and thunder

I named mine Karma. I believe in the whole what goes around comes around sort of thing. Since he's so hard to find with all of his spawn points and shared timer, it seemed appropriate.

Another badass name (imo) would be Treachery. It's what I named my Skoll since that's what the npc's name means in Old Norse.

There is a nature film with Lions against Hyenas and I don't know how to spell it but the pride lion and Hyena killer
was named something like Antwademela. swahili or zulu or something but meant "He who strikes with fire"

I have thought about doing a swahili name for my next pet. there are translators available on line

I never had a chance to name mine before I switched to Skoll. But I was considering the name Jigoku, the word for hell in Japanese. It reminded me of the part in Revelation that says "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him."

I called all my white cats and SB(cats) of "Alvo", in portuguese(I am brazilian) mean 2 things same time, White = Alvo and Target = Alvo.
My main hunter all pets are portuguese names and sometimes with funny meanings.
Loque is Alvo, King Krush is called "Osga" and mean little lizard, spirit of Koosu (ooze) called "Geléia" mean jelly! Clutch Mother, my second pet and oldest, is Dodo(I think Dodo mean same thing in many languages), Skoll is Guará, maned wolf from Tupi language "agoa'rá" to portuguese Lobo- guará, my grandfather was native american.
Look inside you a name for your pet, even if it only makes sense for you. I think this because your pet is her best friend in game.

I named my Artemis...and my Skoll is Apollo. Artemis because Loque (in my head, is really one of the kittens, not loque.) she's female, has Moonfire, and is silvery. Apollo because's he near polar opposite. 'Sides, he chases the sun...

I finally tamed my first Loque yesterday, and I think I've decided on Komah for his name. Far as I know it doesn't mean anything, just something random that popped into my head. My hunter's other pet, a moonstalker named Tuah, was named the same way.
