I've noticed if you tame one on the Isle of Giants they will make a stomp noise BUT if you tame on on the Thunder Isle you get one that dose not make stomp noise. Thought I should let you all know for those who like the more quite pets.

Maybe some will but mine, a white direhorn that I found sleeping, didn't make a peep over its stompy white cousin off of the island.

EDIT:

I have NOTHING against the stompy sounds. I just like that we have subtle options.

I haven't seen any on Thunder Isle. The sound doesn't bother me though. I kind of like it.

Sound doesn't bother me either, I'm just happy there are different choices for some people. c:

I think it may just be the white one that's sleeping that doesn't stomp; where's that one at? I don't recall seeing it.

I personally find it to be a quiet enough stomping that it doesn't annoy me greatly, though I understand some people prefer their pets to be silent.

I was in the no no places when I got mine. I got there be accident though and it got fixed as well so if someone wants a quite one then they just have to wait until parts are unlocked.

Maybe sleeping ones don't want to wake sleepy ones.

Perhaps the first post should be updated, since not all the dire horns from the Isle of Thunder are silent.

Well I haven't tested all of them. You'll have to let me know which ones.

Can anyone tell me the NPC ID macro? Now that the area is open on my realm, I plan to see if I can find a brown one that can tiptoe and thought I'd check out the other colors as well.

There was an armored direhorn in the background of one of the Adolescent Direhorn screenshots.

I don't suppose anyone's managed to check to see if those are tamable (because it looks badass...)

You can't attack them at all so it would be impossible. Once you set them free from the trolls they just go on a rampage and eventually depsawn.
Though I think you can Beast Lore them (?) and it comes up as untameable anyway. D:
