WoW Petopia Community

This is a thread to share WoW-related resources you've found. We already share the stuff we love in this forum, but this thread is specifically for blatant advertisement -- pimping, in other words. (And also for specific resource sites as opposed to, say, a cool video.)

A couple of ground rules:

• Resources don't need to be hunter-related.
• Self-promotion is okay.
• Affiliate links are okay if they are clearly labeled.
• Links to sites that provide services that violate WoW's Terms of Use are not okay.
• Pimping the sites I run is redundant.
• Don't go overboard.

http://www.elsanglin.com/ For fishing nuts.

Curse Gamings WOW add-ons.

Favorite addon I use is the EasySerum. Helps with Alchemist Finkelstein's Troll Patroll line by telling you the location of items you need so you don't lose precious time scouring the shelves for ingredients.

I like redundancy. http://www.maniasarcania.com

I'm a fan of El's Anglin', Curse, Thottbot, wowinterface and of course MMOwned (breaks the EULA, so not linking it).

When I'm trying to decide what to spend emblems on/what dungeons to run for gear for a new alt, I love guildox.com's loot rank site.
Under Filters you input where you expect to be able to get loot (so I begin by unchecking all the raids and the professions BOPs, for example).
Under Stat Weights I select weights for the stats I'm looking for. For example, for my resto shammy I score spell power and haste at 15, intellect and mp5 at 12, spirit at 5 and stuff like strength, ap, and agility at 0. You get the idea.
Finally, at the bottom under the filters and weights, I add my character.
I then get a lovely list of all the gear available to me within my parameters, and how big an upgrade they'd be according to my weights. It's not perfect - for example it suggests I get the elemental t9 helmet since it has haste - but a little intelligent browsing takes care of that.

I'm also a huuuuuuge fan of wowhead and it's comprehensive filter system. If anyone wants a step-by-step to that, I'll be happy to make one. I just love how well it works.

Other than that, there are a few other sites I like to frequent. Breanni's great.

Hello! Are you bored of listening of the sound of your computer / wow-ingame music and enjoy techno?
Then head over to http://www.wow-radio.net and start listning to great music!

The post that started this post :>

Gazmik Fizzwidget's is the main site for the stupidly usefull and awesome Fizzwidget addons.
WoWInterface is a addon hub site not unlike Curse. Personally, I tend to use it more than Curse though.
WoW.com is a WoW news site, with plenty of interesting articles for all sorts. They're generally on top of most WoW related news too.
Bosskillers is a pretty decent website to visit for raid boss strategies. Their Animated guides are adorable, silly and informative.
TankSpot is mostly known for it's video guides, but it's also an AMAZING resourse for aspiring tanks. Links to each class guide to tanking: Death Knight, Druid, Warrior.
The Paladin tank guide is sadly out of date, but Maintankadin has a decent one up.

I think that's about it from me. Sorry little of this seems to apply to hunters.

http://www.warcraftpets.com/ for any pet nut like me! and then theres a certain mount site that someone here owns

Wowhead is a wonderful resource for general information regarding gear, items, mobs - pretty much everything.
WMO is my WoW log posting site of choice.
