The sprite darter companion pets will not be changing in 5.3 if anyone is worried they just released a blue post about it. It was a file error that changed them to the new model.

They could still add this new model as a new mini pet of some sort. I hope so, its a killer model.

As much as I like the new model, I don't want them to take away the old skin/model because there's lots of people who like and/or prefer that one.

I have a soft spot for the original model, so I'm relieved it wasn't intentional, but I'd be more than happy to see an additional pet added with the new model since it is very lovely.

Personally, I'd rather they fix up the Moth model a bit before worrying about the current Faerie Dragon model (Moths use roughly the same animations as Faerie Dragons).

So much this. I want to tame a moth, but I can't get around the fact that their model looks so fragile that with one tap the wings would shatter. Personally, I'd like something like this butterfly here.
Okay, maybe not something like that, but at least intimidating but still beautiful like this.

Anyone have a screen shot of this "bugged" pet? I would like to see what it looks like even though it wont be sticking around.
