Tameable baby direhorn
On the PTR, the Hatchling Direhorns in the pens on the Isle of Thunder now use the blue baby direhorn model (in 5.2 they use the white adult model). But they're still flagged as tameable. So for now, at least, you can go have fun with a baby direhorn pet.
I imagine this will change. I'm not sure how exactly, though. They currently use the same ID as the one on live, so even if they flag them untameable from now on, anyone who already has one may see it change to baby form in 5.3. Maybe they'll have to give the new ones a new ID.

Re: Tameable baby direhorn
I should also add that I was prompted to find it by a player called Worgénator on the PTR who had one out. When I asked where he got it he said it was a rare on the northern tip of the Isle of Giants that he camped 6 hours for and he'd been told about it "by a friend". I suspect it was all a load of Direhorn crap but maybe there really is and I'm doing him an injustice! Whether it's true or not, it prompted me to investigate and find the Hatchling anyway.

Aww. It's like killing someone with cuteness. If they make live, which I kind of doubt, I'm getting one for sure. I'd honestly probably never use it, since I'd feel guilty if it died.
I'm just too big of a softie. Heck, I feel bad when I hear the noises my moonkin hatchling makes when he takes a hit in pet battles.

Hee, that's fun, even though highly unlikely to stay.

this will be kinda sad because as they are the hatchlings are one of the few diregorns that dont make stompy sounds!

It's random seiferzero. On some day there are white Direhorns, on other days those baby raptors.

Re: Tameable baby direhorn
Would love if it was kept somewhat hush-hush or unchanged. It's those little pets like this, the Aurokk (back when it was untameable), the crocs and the ghost wolf that I really love about the hunter class too.
If it's not. Oh well..

If they were to stay (so very very very unlikely, but yeah), it'd be nice to see them smaller; they're so precious in the wild!

Haha, I totally want to tame one before the PTR becomes live. I guess I'm changing Cera again.

They would be a great version of MoP's crocs. After all, a slime as hunter pet makes even less sense. ( Not saying they should remove the crocoslime, of course. It's cool, and I wish I had tamed it too when I had the chance. I'm glad for your unique pet, but just presenting a fact. x) )

I agree. It's not like I discovered this a while back and was hoping for it to remain unnoticed.Qraljar wrote:Would love if it was kept somewhat hush-hush or unchanged. *cough* *cough*
Please let us keep them! Just shrink the size down a bit...
