Figured you guys should know...apparently if you cast BW, your pet stops using its auto cast abilities until you set him to follow/passive then send him back in. This is NOT because of Blink Strikes either. This effects not only the pet, but also your stacks of Frenzy for Focus Fire.

Just tested on the dummies in Shrine. It seems to be when BW ends that it stops using abilities. During BW my pet was using them like normal, it stopped when BW wore off. Well.. that's a bit of a bug.

just tested this; it uses claw/smack/bite ONCE and then never again, even if you don't use BW...
EDIT: Nevermind; it was because of LoS issues for that. Yet autoattack worked...
EDIT2: Seems it still uses their attack skill even after BW for me. Possible it might be linked to LoS issues??

The pet slacks off when you can't see it I bet.
Pet: Great my master can't see me I will just tap the enemy and slack.

I think the bug is more complicated....

I saw reports of pets never using an attack on Maegera (sp?) where the pet literally did nothing.

But as much as I watched in raid last night, my pet's focus was moving up and down as normal, and I noticed no drop-off in dps, so it didn't appear to be happening for me.

I'll have to watch it in raid tonight, but I think there is something else triggering it to not work. (if it was 100% of the time bugged, I think that would have been caught on the PTR).

I'm wondering if it's only certain pets?

Perhaps pets that had cooldowns changed? Or with certain other abilities on autocast?

My personal observations are that the Blink Strikes talent allows the pet to use its abilities as normal, but without it, the pet will use its basic attack once or twice and then never again.

It must be certain pets, Im using my Core Hound a lot and the stacks of Cobra Strikes keep disappearing.

I also just saw a report of Blink Strikes causing a pet do drag a mob where they both got stuck in a table, untargetable.

Sounds like there are more than a few hidden bugs here that only surface under certain conditions. Might need to do testing with different pets, but repeating is going to be a challenge.

Pet stopped using abilities completely after BW was used. I had to click Passive and then tell him to attack again before he started using abilities again.

So that's one character with Blink Strikes and one without and I'm having the same issue on both. Both stop using abilities with BW. I'll try and pay attention and see if I can pick up any more information.

So assist might be the bugged thing since it pets work normal when set to passive.

I've noticed that BS can cause issues where your pet decides to hang out in mid air, if it gose after a flying mob.

Would be fine if your pet jumped to the ground or something, but my pet blink stricked itself into midair, and for the last 25% of the fight I had no pet.

I've noticed something like this to - despite my pets pretty-much always having Boar's Speed/Dash/Charge autoactive, since the Blinkstrike changes, they never use them...

That was hotfixed, or so I read.
