New build, growl change?

Umm.. the new growl change in the latest patch. What was growl before? is this just a tooltip thing, or are they actually buffing/nerfing it?

Also.. Wyren Sting.. /yawn.

anyway...
Distracting Shot now increases threat that you generate against the target by 200% for 6 sec.

Growl now increases threat that you generate against the target by 200% for 6 sec.
Voidwalkers got the same 200% treatment, so i'm not sure if this is a change, or just a clarification...

Not everyone can/does. MMO Champ can take a long time to load so you should consider everyones computers aren't yours. ^_^

Whoa....neato! Pets may be able to hold aggro again!

Sounds like an across the board change to non-tank threat generation/taunts.

It's always better to link a source, no matter what. :)

It's a buff. The threat effects are more effective.

It looks like this effect applies to all taunt abilities - not just pet taunt. So this is good for tanks too.

From the official notes:
All taunt type abilities now increase all threat generated against the target while the taunt is active by 200%.

It's both a buff and a nerf, though. It's a buff, in that it increases threat by 200%. However, is the 'automatic taunt' effect taken away? So if you have a ton of threat on an enemy, you can't just Growl and yank it off any more.

Great for starting threat. Worrisome if your pet dies and you have to get threat back on the pet.

Most importantly, does that mean they will now tank raid bosses properly in places such as Malygos or Naxx or other such raids where bosses are immune to taunts?

Blizzard wouldn't be that stupid. If tanks, like me, suddenly found taunting wasn't an immediate switch of focus for the boss, a lot of tanks would suddenly stop tanking. It's a fundamental part of our kit that allows us to save dps and healers' asses. Changing it would make timed taunts such as taunting on so many stacks of a debuff near impossible.
