More nerfs... and other changes.

From the latest patch notes...
Arcane Shot had its damage and focus cost increased by 50%.
Hunter's Mark now has a duration of 20 seconds while in PvP combat (down from 30 seconds).
Readiness now finishes the cooldowns on Rapid Fire, Feign Death, Deterrence, Disengage, and Camouflage when activated (was all Hunter abilities with a base cooldown of less than 5 minutes).
Revive Pet no longer requires the Hunter to have line-of-sight to their pet.

Aspect of the Iron Hawk now reduces all damage taken by 10%, down from 15%.
Narrow Escape's root effect is now a nature spell (was a physical spell).
Silencing Shot is no longer a talent and is now an ability for Marksman Hunters.
Spirit Bond now regenerates 3% of total health every 2 seconds while the Hunter's pet is active (up from 2%).
Wyvern Sting now has a range of 40 yards (up from 35 yards).

Glyph of Mend Pet now has a 100% chance of cleansing 1 Curse, Disease, Magic or Poison effect from the Hunter's pet on each tick (up from 50% chance).
Glyph of No Escape now increases the ranged critical strike chance against targets affected by the Hunter's Freezing Trap by 100% (up from 20% chance).

Explosive Trap no longer shares a cooldown with Black Arrow but can no longer activate Lock and Load.

Specifically, note the BIG BM nerf... Readiness no longer resets Beastial Wrath. Another PVE nerf courtesy of PVP.

I'll let the SV hunters chime in on the Explosive trap change. Don't know the effect of that.

I have an idea, arcane shot does -200% damage and costs 100 focus and remove kill command and why not just remove every other CD the hunter has :)

Ugh, I pretty much only ever used Readiness to reset BW and Silencing Shot. So now it's kind of useless to me.

If I wasn't furious about hunter changes already... strip us of our most useful silence, and now they take away the BW reset in Readiness? UGH. -.-

I won't even try to assess this for PVP....

But for raiding, while not huge, you loose at least 2 BW's during a normal boss fight, and while that itself is not huge, it's the timing of those in burst phases that really hurts.

I wonder what other nerfs they have planned... sigh...

question.. how does that Readiness nerf hit SV? I've never really paid attention to what is/was effected by Readiness for SV.

i think i might have to get a new comptor now and pack all my things to another MM.blizz keeps killing the only spec and class i play.wonder how long blizz will survive after many more idoit changes later.

That Readiness change will be a massive nerf to DPS for hunters of all specs in PVE. Thanks for ruining hunters, PVP crybabies.

How exactly is this change based on PvP? The skills that are still impacted by readiness are largely PvP abilities. Looks more like a PvE nerf to me. What's missing?

Sorry, I've been a little angry lately. Most our nerfs we've been getting lately have been a direct result of PVP complaints about hunters being too powerful.

I'm sure this is no different.

I think the idea is to get to last twice as long basically. I can't see any other reason for removing it off readiness.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

The lack of double Bestial Wrath and double Dire Beasts (among other things) for our opener is going to hurt BM big time.

I got un-lazy and decided to answer my own question.

Most of the shots removed from readiness will only impact PvP, so why are the PvEers complaining so loudly about PvP nerfs impacting them?

Dire Beast was lower dps in PvE, the last I checked; more of a PvP nerf.

And wasn't double BW nerfed ages ago?

As in using Readiness to reset the cooldown on BW ? No, it still does. Unless you mean something else ?

Adam has it.. Readiness currently allows you to reset BW in burst situtations (say the pools on Jink) as well as other things like Dire Beast.

Dire Beast is actually quite fine. Certainly better than Fevor, and Thrill isn't worth touching for BM.

And as to why I'm calling it a PVP based nerf? It's because all these nerfs are around reducing burst or CC which is what all the PVP QQ is about.

Ok, if they're hamstringing Readiness like this, then they need to make some pretty serious changes to other things. Kill Command needs to hit like a truck, Bestial Wrath needs to last a good bit longer, and the BM pet ability CD needs to be reverted, to name a few things.
