So I'm thinking of just giving up on raiding for now. Seems I have the worst luck with it. The last guild had a moron of a guild leader who was the raid leader of the failer of a team I was on. The team is still the worst in the guild as of today I was told from friends in the guild still. I like the ppl in my new guild right now but raiding in ICC just doesn't seem to happen and it's getting annoying. We tried to do ICC Monday but the tank was new to the fights so where never even killed the first boss.. Then there was a raid event for tonight @ 10pm my time and half the ppl who signed up for it including the GM herself simply didn't show up.. I'm trying to understand real life happens but I feel that excuse it being used much to often. You can atleast let someone know you wont be able to make it...I don't know what to do anymore @ this point.. *sigh*

If it's really frustrating you that much, I'd say just take a break and step back from the raiding scene for a while. Remember, World of Warcraft is a GAME, it's pointless if you're not having fun!

If you don't want to step back from WoW entirely, do something a little different. Roll up a new alt to play, just to get a refresher from old-world content. Do something different with your raider-level character. Play the other faction for a while. Just shake it up and give yourself a break is all.

I'm not saying that's your only other option. I'm just saying, it sounds like you need to shake things up. You're obviously not enjoying yourself raiding, so you probably need a break from it. Just do something new and refreshing with the game, or take a step back from it entirely.

I quit raidingguilds a while back, since I needed a break from all the lootwhores. Now I'm stick PUGing with Stereo, and tough I probably won't see anything further than Valythria, I'm having fun, and there's an easy solution to the lootwhores too.

like im on quit from wow till 3.5 cleared all content on my fav chara my others .. well people know they are alts so its hard to get a raid spot xD
I know some people are like amg pvp sucks so -so class is op i cant beat them
tbh on my hunter in outdated pvp gear i can take on 5 people no heals before i die i know its not much but they outgear me .. do bgs with some mates
or lolgear bgs ... the amount of times ive done that XD good times :')
or get a group of you and your mates and do some 10 mans?
10mans are always easy and it can be any raids

c'mon i 8 man AQ 40 alot and you can always to TK the eye for the mount :p

I'm actually enjoying playing my Resto Shaman a lot more than my Hunter these days. I think I'm burned out on the whole DPS thing. The kicker is, as far as my guild is concerned my Hunter is my main and we have a boat load of healers already. And honestly I'm fine with that as in my heart of hearts, Anansi is my focus, the one I put the most theorycrafting and research effort into and is the class I know the most about, so I do want him to get the attention when it comes to raiding.

However, for now, I need a break from him and I enjoy the heck out of healing. It's interesting too, I was chatting with the GM the other day (on unrelated topics) and he observed how many healers the guild has as opposed to DPS. It's his theory that with many of the people in the guild (the guild is ~4 years old) having played since release, they find that healing becomes more rewarding than DPS after a while. And I have to agree with him there.

I just want to kill the damn Lich King on my Hunter then he'll retire until Cataclysm.

When i quit raiding, i transfered my pally to Nesingwary, joined Petopians and just let my batteries recharge. Im back at raiding now and enjoying it.

The last time I got fed up with raiding I stuck to pvping. I've gotten pretty good at it lately. I find marks is a good overall pvp/raid spec. I'm strongest against the melee class. I throw on my scorpid sting then I hit them them my chimera shot plus my silencing shot. They usually run away from me once they realized I've not only disarmed them but I've reduced there chance to hit me while silencing them and I'm breathing down there back @ the same time.

yeah hunter pvp <3 i heard we are 'op' atm since i aint playing i cant really say so plus ive been disc priest to uch in pvp .. amg they sooo gooooood

and like i said you dont have to play it hardcore BGs are just for fun Arena for hardcore players

MM Hunters are pretty OP, yeah. We pierce trough armor with our double SS+Chimaera's and ArP, and with rapidfire up we're unbeatable.

yeah i knew there was some truth in it
i still pvp as BM but kairii hardly seen a bg in teh past few days >.> /ashamed
but its better to try it then just stop all together

SSSHH! Don't tell blizz that or they will nerf us once again. I don't get why they cant have a talent tree that is for pvping only. It would make it easier to balance the class.

True. I wonder if they would even think about the possibility. It would/could solve any headaches with trying to balance pvp and pve. They have left hunters alone for awhile now and I like it to stay that way. I still remember when they Nerf BM to the ground. It's better then it was before but still not on par with marks or surv.

A suggestion, just pug the ICC runs each week. We hunters are lucky in that many of our best gear items drop from early bosses.

I'm trying to step back from the game some, and part of that is going to be just raiding on my hunter, and likely puging the 25-man raids.
