Now those of you who know me know I am biased due to the fact I am a K9 Handler for a security company in real life lol.
But I think we need new dogs...and cool dogs too. Right now we have ..what? 2 models? Sloppy hound and demon dogs...THATS ALL
Its ridiculous. That group has the least love.
Now I have some hope since I saw the armored corgi...but come on..seriously? That can't be ALLL the dog models they are doing. Not everyone would be a fan of corgis..I know I am not.

What they should do is some sort of a Shepherdish model. Something that by changing the colors would make each one unique.
I mean just by shifting colors you could have a German Shepherd, Dutch shepherd, Belgian Malinois, Husky, Malamute, Doberman, and rottie...Though a rottie and Doberman have the same color scheme sort of.

Dogs are pretty much underepresented, so we could definitely use more. I can totally see orcs and humans using dogs for war.

Yes but how many different kinds of Bats are there? We have more types of Spiders and Scorpions

Actually I am gonna go tame a bat because of that post, lol.

I'd really love to see Blizzard give more attention to ALL pet families that are lacking diversity. Enough cats/crabs/wolves/birds, time to give everyone else attention.

As someone who owned and loves Shepherds...yeah, it'd be nice to have a model, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it. :\ It'd probably turn out being a modified wolf model.

I love dogs and I guess it would be cool to get a couple more, but I don't really feel like we need a lot of domestic dog breeds in Azeroth? I don't know, they just seem out of place to me.

I'm willing to agree. While it'd be nice I cant see many domestic breeds of dogs in Azeroth. The mastiffs fit because well.. Mastiffs are an old as hell breed. I'm willing to bet the armored corgi is 9/10 a mini-pet. The funny little pug? A mini-pet. All the silly little breeds are mini-pets. If we got more "dog" models they'd probably just be modified wolves to be honest.

I want a Boxer or a Beagle.

I just wish that the dog family were given a more useful skill then a sub par snare. For eg; 'Infectious Bite' (magic damage debuff) or maybe 'Howl of the pack' (Mastery buff), or 'Best Buds' (Intervene)

There are a lot of dog fans at Blizzard. If you ever read Cory Stockton's interview on Warcraft Pets, he discusses how there's a lot of internal enthusiasm for more dog models and we can expect to see more. Of course that's for mini pets, but hopefully some of them are suitable for combat as well.

I personally don't see any reason for Azeroth not to have more domestic breeds. I mean they have cows and chickens and sheep, so why not the animal that's been domesticated for far longer than any other? The only issue I see is that (being a domestic species) you wouldn't normally see them running wild in the jungle, so the main sources of taming would have to be either ferals/strays or the attack beasts of non-friendly NPCs.

Hell, you'd think there'd be some dogs around with the farms and stuff.

Also yes, we do need more dogs. St. Bernard, tameable Pug, tameable Corgi, and more dogs that don't even have models yet, please ;-;

I wouldn't mind seeing a greyhound model, being a sighthound fancier myself...but given what I know about them from living with 'em for the last decade or more, that'd be the one breed of dog that would need the "nap" special that the bears get. Mine spends the bulk of his time asleep, once he's gotten the morning crazies out of his system!

I would love a model thats like a Husky or something That would be awesome! If i cant have one irl i could have one online!

We do need more dog models, like dalmations, labradors, sheperds, CHIHUAHUAS!!!!
