After the "Design your own Battle Pet" thread, I really felt we needed one for mounts as well. It might be that I missed the fact that one of these threads might already exist, but I checked around for a little. If there was already a thread like this, I apologize. If not: welcome to the 'Design your own mount thread'!


Feel free to post your ideas for new mounts in this thread, the source/way to obtain them, possible lore behind them, etcetera!


Here's my first suggestion! Yes, it's not very original, but with the Sky Golem (Goblin Shredder) becoming obtainable in 5.4, I think it could possibly pave the way for more mecha mounts.



Gnomeregan Turbulence

Source: Engineering (schematic drop source in a raid next expansion)

Materials: Unknown so far, not too much of a goldsink or timesink, but not literally free either.

This hulking iron monstriosity's plans were first created after the assault on Ulduar. However, due to insufficient information and insufficient funds, the project was put on hold indefinitely. During the events of Pandaria, the project was picked back up, and thanks to the research of Uldum technology and research on the technology present in other Titan Facilities, the schematics were perfected. Now, Engineers can rebuild this intimidating giant.

Reins of the Green Drake

The green drakes once protectors of the emerald dream have been called to the waking world to take on a new foe.

I know drakes have been done but i REALLY want a green one! ^.^

Reins of the Armoured Chromatic Drake

Source: Acheivement Reward for "A Drake of Every Colour" - Collect one drake mount of the colours listed below:

The chromatic flight created by deathwings son were the ultimate flight made up of all the powers of the aspects.

Kinda like a special version of Experiment 12-B, I always wanted a Glyph mount of my own and this one would be obtainable after a little effort by anyone

Reins of the Nefarious Drake!

It would basically be like the Onyxian drake - Looking like Nefarian! 8)


(I guess it's a bad name for it but just saying "Nefarian Drake" doesn't sound right to me.. Hmmm.)
