So, I am sure I am like... not the only one. I'm sure mostly everyone got this invite, but still. I am SO EXCITED you have no idea.
I spent an hour googling the email to make sure it wasn't a scam, then proceeded to scream like a fan girl at a Justin Beb concert.

That was so fun.

I sadly can not say much or post screenies/videos about Elder Scrolls beta. But I can say this:
It is a lot of fun so far. The graphics are pretty good! I'm sure there are some things that still need to be fixed, such as some audio things. But yeah. Omg.
Beautiful world. Wonderful characters. Pretty nice combat and skills.

It was mostly running around talking with the other beta players and having a good time until we were asked to help crash the place xD

I get to play now Friday, August 30th at 6:00PM EDT until Monday, September 2nd at 11:59PM EDT :U This isn't even a stress test! This is actual playing! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! *FLAILS*

That's awesome, grats! I've been waiting for it to go Live ever since they released the trailer XD I've heard it's going to be a subscription game like WoW thought....? Do you know if thats true? If so, have they released price ideas for the game itself plus sub?

It's way too early the development I think to tell what they payment stuff is going to be. We're still in super secret 'shh dont talk about it' beta right now.
I think when they get further along to at least open beta they will announce what they are going to do in the way of monies.

If I remember correctly they DID announce they have a sub fee and it's 15 dollars as well. I don't know the price of the actual game though.. I'd guess maybe 60 or so? That's like the average price of a new game.

Ahhh.... ugh so it'll be either WoW or either ESO....

Probably. I've seen many confirmations of the 15 a month fee. The actual game who knows.

Oh really? I guess I missed that xD My bad. Who knows, could be some changes later on. We'll see. Either way, I don't mind the subs or the mind of the price. From what I have seen it is worth every penny o.O

I know people say this about EVERY game. And I'm not one of those people who normally say this. In fact, I've never said this before in my life... But I am convinced that ESO is going to really put the hurt on WoW

@Bowno - A lot of games put hurt on WoW for a bit at least. Maybe ESO will completely crush it. It has Wildstar to contend with too. I don't see them going FTP until it "fails" (and that's if it does) simply because FTP does uh.. attract certain um.. People.. People that I don't know if they'd want in their mmo.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to play ESO because of the massive graphics it has and I doubt my computer could run it but I'd rather not see a.. a.. "Goldshire" /shudder in ESO. !!

If ESO gives a trial I'll try it and see how my computer handles it. I have a personal computer fan that blows into the main grate to keep it extra cool so I wont need to worry about physical meltdowns from trying to run the graphics, just mostly the lag

I don't necessarily think that F2P means that a game is failing or has failed. On the contrary, I think offering a F2P model might even help WoW. I more or less refuse to pay a sub for it, but if they offered a F2P model it'd probably entice me to come back, at least for a time. And if I came back, I might spend money in the store. The potential for a little bit of money is better than none at all. Doesn't mean they should go strictly F2P, just have the option to sub with shinies, or play for free with no shinies (by shinies I mean various perks/etc. that tend to vary from game to game).

But that's a discussion for another time. I haven't read or seen anything on EOS. I am playing Skyrim right now though, and really enjoy this franchise. I just hope that it's not a flop like SWTOR (granted, I still enjoy SWTOR for little spurts at a time). Folks say that Bioware would have been better off just making another KOTOR - I hope that the same isn't said for EOS.
