I asked Arwyn to host the event, as she did a splendid job during the test run, and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it (and behold, I wasn't able to).

How did it go? What happened? Did anyone get screenshots? How was it? Where there any complications? Did I miss any good butsekz?

It went fine boss. I had outfits made up for the high levels to wear and made them do unarmed combat to keep everyone on equal levels. It was decided that pets be kept on passive during the event and I recommend we do this for future events. Making people form groups for the timed hide and seek part went well in my opinion. Even though I flubbed on communications part on that one.

Things for future consideration: If guild members want to be quest givers give them at least a six day window, Sat-Thurs, to volunteer so parts can be made for them. Have a Plan B in store in case people who signed up can not attend and quests may need to go from individual accomplishments to group accomplishments and reverse.

Ah, just what I wanted to hear. Good observations on what needs to be done to make it smoother.

Next event, I think we'll try the racetrack idea, down in the thousand needles.

I've seen fraps used for stuff on Youtube I suppose... does it take a lot of computery info to use? I'm not sure my computer would even run it...

It's not particularly big. And I'm sure someone in the guild has a computer strong enough for it. Ensidia films their videos using it, and that's 25 man raids. And I'm pretty sure they don't use state-of-the-art tech.

I'll give it a whirl I suppose...

Do I need any type of video editing software for afterwards then? To put music in or anything?

Most of the YouTube films have little texts when they start and some backgroundmusic. That's doable in Windows Movie Maker. For music, isn't it possible to save the talk from vent?

Mmm, not sure how to save stuff from vent. I think I'll have my hands full with fraps, but I can't say for sure atm...

Either way, I'm sure you'll learn fraps quickly. It's an easy enough program.

Yeah, got fraps, know how it works now.

30 second clips though... is there a way to string these together then? Or will I have to either deal with clipping, or just put up 30 second clips put together... ?

Forgive my ignorance. I'm pretty minimalist when it comes to this stuff.

hypercam works to i know fraps can record sound and vent

but say if your fraps broke try hypercam
i use to use it when i did drawing tut's back in ye olden days XD
