I've been using it for a couple of months now. It's very simple and handy. It organizes all your copies of Blizzard games, your updates, and you can see who on your BattleNet list is online without actually logging in

There are some pretty terrible glitches going on with it right now. D: People are exploiting it like mad to brute force into other peoples accounts.
Hopefully they fix that soon.

so, what happens if you have three different WoW accounts, two of them sharing a battle.net account, the third on its own independent battle.net account?
and the same thing on two computers? side-by-side? (I dual box)

If they're on the same Battlenet account then you can select between them with a menu (which also shows other games on the same Battlenet account, such as Diablo and Starcraft).
With other accounts I'm not sure. But I know friends have been able to log in to their accounts from my computer. I'm just not sure if you can add multiple Battlenet accounts to the desktop app. Maybe you can.

Thanks for letting us know Bowno, I'll let my partner know to be extra careful! Not that he ever has any gold to steal but still....

Wish it let me stay logged in, yet when I click play game it asks for my authenticator. But other than that very nice!

I don't get that with mine. It's very rare for it to ever ask for that. I'm not sure what you might be doing differently.

Huh. Doesn't do that for me. Stays logged in.

I enjoy it, though I wish it had a tad smaller resource footprint. For me, the fact that it launches and logs straight into the game is great, but I could see this being problematic for others. It is a bit slow at launching for me but not having to type a password in over and over is nice, so I'll take it.
And if you D/C from the game and go back to the title screen, the info has been coming up blank where it used to not (since I started using the client to log in). This can be annoying, as I have to either fill out my complete info, or close out the game, bring the client back up and relaunch. Although, I suppose that isn't much worse than have to retype the password.

Is this desktop client meant to be released with the next patch? or further along?

Quote from the link:
Once the open beta test ends, everyone’s launcher will be updated automatically when they start up the launcher for World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, or Diablo III. Players will be auto-updated in waves over time, so the exact date you’ll get the update will vary from person to person.
