What are some of the Strangest/Oddest/Stupidest things you have heard people say in dungeons?

I was doing an instance (don't remember which one) on my mage with a warrior tank who wasn't holding aggro. The feral druid had to go bear form to tank because the warrior was useless. The healer asked if he was in defensive stance...and the answer was...



...wait for it...



"whats defensive stance? i never got a spell called that"



I thought warriors got it from the trainer at level 8 or 10

I once got in a PUG to Ulduar.

From a priest back in CoT Durnholde complaining about my tanking "Man, you have just a little more health then my greater heal can heal for." "Don't you have lesser heal, power word shield, and an HoT?" "......what? Why should I use those?"

I have 2 wtf?! moments that stick out for me.

#1 During an instance run (I forget which) on my rogue we hit a rough spot, and the tank (warrior) and the other 2 dps died (Hunter and mage). I had tried my goblin jumper cables XL, but they failed (as usual >.<) During this time the pally was regening with food and water. I went stealth to patrol for mobs thinking the healer (dwarf pally) was going to rez everyone. After a moment I asked the pally if he was going to rez them the reply is something I will never forget. The convo went something like this....

me- "Are you going to rez them?"
pally- "I can't rez."
me-"......uhhh you get the ability at level 10 from a class quest. You should check your spellbook."
pally-"Is that the one you get from the trainer?"
me-"...yeah"
pally-"I remember that quest. I abandoned it because I couldn't understand it."
me-".........what????"
pally-"yeah I couldn't understand what it wanted me to do or where it was at"

Needless to say we kicked him from the group and got another healer.


#2 When leveling my horde mage though outlands during BC days I was in a group for Auchindoun. We had a shaman healer. On the boss with the voidwalker spawns we wiped. After talked about the strategy the tank asked the shaman if he was going to self rez. The shaman said "There is a self rez? When did they do that?"

My shaman got kicked out of a shadowfang group for not doing enough dps.

Hows this one? I was in a party with another guildi who was our healer preist. Well our tank pulls too many mobs and despite my beautiful crowd control with my devilsaur Rhage, the party mosly wipes. I say mostly cause I survive cause I frein death. Our tank and team leader goes nuts, and that its useless that the hunter survived. So in his rage he kicks me out of the group, witch kicks me out the dungion. This is the coversation that happened acourding to my fellow guild mate.

Preist-Why the hell did you do that
Warrior-the guy was useless. we are dead he cant rez and he pissed me off because he freined death.
Preist-Uhhuh......You do know he had 2 sets of goblin jumper cables right? (for the record it was one goblin jumper cable, and one device that could overload and do the same thing)

I hate it when people do this. It's SFK. Anything below 80, people should be able to come in and perform how they like so long as the group is ok with it and moving foward.

At 80, I say people are then allowed to whine and complain and nitpick. Until then, STFU if it works. Just how I see it. So many people complain about others performance when it still works...

I had this one group, where the paladin wanted to tank in SM:Library. The paladin had white quality one handed sword and white quality shield (meaning no stat boosts from either). He also had all his points in a very bad holy spec.

The tank was like "LOL dude, no. You suck SO bad." The paladin was pulling. The mobs were not being ripped off from him. The healer never said a word. Nor did he have trouble healing (his mana was high almost at all times, paladin never almost died).

But no. The druid went ON and ON. Kinda funny he bitches about the fail tank when he keeps pulling and we keep moving. The tank actually stealthed in kitty form and just followed, not helping us fight.

If it works, go for it. I couldn't give less of a damn people.

Stupidest comment from a person from someone claiming to have a BM hunter: No the worms from RFC aren't tameable

Stupidest comment for a suggestion of what pet I should tame on a hunter alt: You should go tame that tiger that takes a week to respawn. I ganked it once, right infront of a hunter camping it, haha!

The most ridiculous thing I ever heard, after zoning into reg. Oculus with a t10 bedazzled DK tank and me on heals:

[warlock]: fuck this we* have to carry two noobs?????
(*note his assumption that my friend and I were part of "his" group...)
[me]: you know, not having been to a particular dungeon before doesn't make a person a noob.
[warlock]: stfu cunt
(At this point I saw red. Use "noob" all you want, but words like cunt, gay, etc. just set me off.)
[me]: alright then. I'm going to sit down and kick you once we're able.
[warlock]: bitch just do the dungeon
(cause I'm really inclined to heal ya when you call me bitch, right?)
[me]: 2 minutes.
[warlock]: fuck
[my tank buddy]: lol
[me]: 47 seconds.

We kicked him and proceeded to one-shot the whole damn place. We explained all the fights, everyone (the dps that replaced the warlock was also new to the place) listened and asked if they weren't sure, and it was just perfect.

I took a lot of perverse satisfaction in showing him the door for being suck a jerk.

Oh yeah, had a fun run on Ovaktalo a while ago. It was BFD, and the warlock didn't do anything but melee, with his VW out, and it's autotaunt on. The tank called everyone "fuckin bitch", and talked Dutch the whole time with his warlock friend. He also plain refuses to tank when the warrior says that he's never done the instance before. Eventually, the rest of the group tire of his and his friends dutch, so we say "English in partychat, please".
"why the fuck do u care bitch?"
"Because you can talk dutch to him in whispers"
"why when we have partychat, retard"

Anyhow, eventually I'm able to votekick him. So I start. And the lock goes "hah, you fail", obviously thinking the votekick wasn't going to succeed since he would obviously vote no. Anyhow, the tank is removed from the party. The lock goes "WTF!?" "y would u kick him!?" "you fail!" and drops party too. The run went fine after that. We got a pally and a rogue, and proceeded to clear.

That's how you handle bad tanks and retarded warlocks.

A old one, not in a dungeon: I was leveling an alt on Teldrassil and a newbie level 10 hunter asks in General if there are any differences between the the pets available on the island. This was way back, so there were ... Anyway, I answered in a tell with some basic info about what was available and a couple things to avoid.

Another player, a druid if I remember correctly, responds in General that rares are always better and that there are two rares here: Duskstalker and Lady Sathrah. And since Lady Sathrah was higher level, she was better because pet stats never increase.

Now I'm puzzled. Here's someone who knows the names of two named beasts on Teldrassil (and note that Lady Sathrah isn't rare, just named because she is part of a quest) but is way off on everything else. I check /who and see a bunch of other low level hunters, so I decide I'd better correct the misinformation.

Me: Actually, pet stats will increase as you level. But I'd avoid Lady Sathrah. She's a 'caster pet', which means that she has lower stats than a normal pet.
Druid: Bitch, ur wrong. Thats crap
(And here I make a bad decision and decide to mention Petopia.)
Me: Err ... I run Petopia, a site about hunter pets. I spend a lot of time researching this stuff. :>

So I did. But that's stuck with me for a long time. One of the reasons I avoid Teldrassil when I can.

OH I just love the grammar people use ingame, seriously...it is not so hard to write your or you're (yes there is a difference between the two I know) and plus it makes you sound like you have brain.

I have a recent memory. I don't remember the day but it happened this week. Doing my dungeons, gathering badges on Sili as usual, then I get the AN. We didn't wipe or anything but there was something quite odd.
We get to Hadro, our tank suddenly asks "Hunter do you know how to Feigh Death?" aka. he wants me to bug Hadro.
I thought this was a joke question but he was very serious, okay for the irony I said "No you learn it in survival tree only" and to my suprise he bought my joke...I told him I was kidding any hunter knows how to FD.

We didn't wipe or anything the group went on just fine but...it left a bad taste in my mouth.

A bad taste because he wanted to skip some trash, or because he fell for your joke?

I just got out of a pug on my baby shammy where the warr tank was dual wielding. No shield. Does that count?

Healing/Spirit trinkets on Hunters. ^^ When you politely tell them 'how about replacing your trinkets with some of the lower level emblem items? =) Spirit isn't very good for Hunters' and no answer, you assume they're staring at the screen they've just licked. xD

I guess for me would be doing a ony 10 man the raid had 2 tanks 1 healer 5 ranged dps 2 melee it went well the healer was a good friend of mine who solo heals alot (his mana never goes down) so phase 1 went ok no problems
phase two on the other hand .... well im not sure what he was planning but telling any ranged dps off for touching ony when she was flying o.O yeah we were all very confused we had killed all teh lil whelps the lock was on the big adds the mage set his pet onto them to they were going down just find so me the priest, mage and the doomkin started nuking ony as you should to get her down ... but no he would rather have us wait 5 minutes and god knows how many waves until i just ignored him set my baby loque on ony and nuke her down along side me was the lock and mage
omg the nerdrage he had the other tank (who was lucky enough to be ML <3) just sat ROFLing at the RL before we looted we asked him te tacts for the fight ... at p2 he said you wait for ony to come down as all the damage you do when shes flying doesnt effect her .... yeah ...

then again theres been hunters level 20+ with no pet as i /w them 'wheres your pet?' they would always /w soething back along the lines ... 'pet whats one of those?' or 'how do i get one of them?'
shammies without totems is a annoying yet funny one amazing how do they get to 80 without learning mana stream or the nature resi one xD

Not a dungeon but it happened after. Come out, into the basin, just in time to see a cow die. Alright cow is probably a fail farmer. I wait around, he revives. Imediately heals himself, aggros two rhinos. Using mostly starfire and moon fire with an occasional rooting. So I stare, and then whisper, why aren't you using boomkin. Cause the guy almost died, on two rhinos in squishy caster form.

His response is basically; Boomkin only gives 5% crit, it's worthless outside of raids and groups, why should it matter if I use it lol.

He never used barkskin, or treants, from what I saw, either.
