Growl issues

Anyone else having this? Last night I was actually doing something on Junrei and was using my new turtle but while he used growl once...it was only....once...and the snake was eating my face. When I tried to manually use growl, it did absolutely nothing. Nada.
EDIT: Okay, after some testing, thus far, it's only the Death Adders that Growl doesn't seem to do anything on. Everything else is fine.

I've noticed I have a LOT more threat than I used to before the patch when soloing with my pet. The pet loses aggro a lot more too.

I edited my post to note it seems to only be the Adders that have an issue. Everything else is fine.

Its not just adders. A lot of the bigger mobs, and some rares, have the same problem with growl not casting. I *think* some of these things are just simply untauntable because Distracting Shot doesn't work.

The adders should be tauntable though. It's one thing if it's a boss but just a normal elite? It shouldn't be untauntable.

I noticed it as well on the Adders but everything else seems to be okay. Even my Ferocity pets hold aggro well except on the Adders. I practically never use Distracting Shot so I can't comment on that.

I've found another one that's having issues. The Southsea Sharpshooter.

Since they strengthened some of our shots to make up for the loss of Readiness, it's not surprising that we generate more threat. I can see that possibly being an issue for SV or MM Hunters but BM should still be fine.

I recommend everyone put in a bug report so we can get this fixed.

Oh my god these are the most annoying monsters because of that.
The frogs, for me, were having the same issue.

Seems Growl in general is bugged but it varies depending on the hunter.

Yeah I've noticed this as well, I only assumed that the mobs were untauntable. :/

Growl almost doesn't work at all anymore like it used to. Blizzard flat out stated that they were nerfing growl to appease the whiners in PuGs, LFR etc to keep from a pet aggro-ing mobs and bosses. It supposedly was put out in 5.3 with full effect being active in 5.4. None of my growl works like it used to and it makes soloing things really difficult. The loss of taunt WAS /IS intended so I doubt sending in bug reports will work. Thunderstomp doesn't even generate threat anymore it would seem. If growl and or thunderstomp generate on a mob it does not hold at all.
Such a shame Blizzard did this.

Actually they buffed Growl. Infact, they changed Growl to be like every other taunt. It's got the same tooltip info as the warlock's voidwalker/voidlord.
Growl
30 yd range
Instant 8 sec cooldown
Requires Druid
Requires level 8
Requires Bear Form
Taunts the target to attack you, and increases threat that you generate against the target by 200% for 3 sec.
Suffering Special Ability
40 Energy 30 yd range
Instant 10 sec cooldown
Requires level 15
The Voidwalker taunts the target to attack it, and increases threat that it generates against the target by 200% for 5 sec.
Auto-Cast:
Taunts the current target if it is not attacking the Voidwalker and taunts any target who attacks its master.
Growl Basic Ability
Melee Range
Instant 8 sec cooldown
Requires level 1
Your pet growls at the target, generating threat, taunting the target to attack the pet, and increasing threat that your pet generates against the target by 200% for 3 sec.

Adding my anecdotal evidence to this. My tanking pet, even with growl on, barely seems to hold aggro at times now. It's not always, but certainly with the bigger mobs at least. The yaungol around the sanctuary seem to have eyes only for me.

LAUGH! well played
On topic ~
Others have also mentioned this issue on other forums,
Yesterday I was in a group farming the elites at Ordos Sanctuary. There were 2 other warlocks in the group using voidwalkers. Their voidwalkers would happily taunt every mob we pulled. Meanwhile I don't think my pet used growl a single time.
http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/134 ... el-92-mobs
so it does look to be a bug with hunter pets? (I just assumed it was just something they did to all pet classes for the lvl 92 mobs to make it more “even” playing field for grinding with the other classes, but apparently not)

I've been unable to keep aggro on pets even before MoP came out. Sure its not exactly hard being MM where I put out a lot of instant damage but I can hardly solo things that should be a cakewalk all because my pet can't keep aggro and instead lets the mob come and eat my face off.

LOL Wain!
Yeah, seems like there's somethin' definitely wrong. So guys, send in those bug reports, make a topic on the official forums. We need to really get this fixed.
