I picked up a copy of Dragonart Evolution this week which is a how to draw book that has the guardian and other species in it. It's really great and I wanted to share a couple pages with you guys since they had some new dragon species in it. I don't know if they will ever make it to the game or if it's even possible for that to happen, but they're really awesome so here they are. My scanner was just a tad too small so I apologize that they're not quite perfect.

I have that book to The dragon I'd really love to see in game is that water dragon, all fins and frills, so pretty ^^

The first scan looks like an old version of the imperials.

That green one is so cute, like a mix between an Imp and a Tundra, hee!

Woot! Another petopian who has neondragon's books! I bought her first art book back when I was....fourteen? It helped me improve A LOT. (highly recommend it, she helped me with a lot of the smaller details I struggled with.)
*ahem* I too recognized a lot of the FR dragons in that particular book. I'm pretty sure I remember her saying that the eastern lung dragons in that book were prototypes for the imperials. So many of those dragons probably wont show up on FR as they too may have been prototypes. Also skydancers didn't appear in that book either so who knows what's going on. But there are so many awesome dragons in that book, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to see some in the game. I especially like the little butterfly dragons and the lich dragons. Also many of the dragon gods are breeds we haven't seen on the market yet so who knows what's in store for us.

I got the book about a month ago. I've always wanted her Dragonart books, but just not got around to getting one. I love the way she draws dragons and her book even gives you simple tips in photoshop which is much needed for me. I actually used the book for reference on the Guardian dragons when drawing my little doodle of Winteria.

The top picture is indeed the first concept art of Imperials, but was redone because they didn't have wings for Secondary genes.

Well, skydancer was the kickstarter breed. Meaning someone gave her directions on what type of dragon they wanted her to make.
