WoW Petopia Community

I have been drawing all my life, and painting for many years. And been drawing some digital art on a graphic tablet. So I thought I'd share some of it here. It's completely random. Some of it is finished, some of it will never be finished.
I am very critical of my work, and almost never satisfied with it. But I guess that's because I want it to be perfect, which is very hard to achieve.

Anyway, here we go. Will be spamming some photos in this thread.

Paintings on normal canvas. The big one is 100x80 cm. and is painted with acryllic. The small ones are all done with oil.


My first experiment with a different style of painting. Done with acryllic on normal canvas.

Wow, your stuff is so pretty. I have always seen painting as one of the harder things to do. I've never really tried it, so I can't say for sure, but it just seems so impressive to me for some reason. Great work!

I know it may seem random, but I really like the non coloured version of your digital work (the bust of the man with the beard)
I think I'm just a sucker for more sketch-pencil type work. The eye and line work are just great!

For many years the only thing I did was draw with pencils. And there were no digital art when I was younger (in the 80's).
But then I just thought that I would never know how paitning was unless I tried it, so I did and it was pretty cool, and not that hard to do. I'm still learning new things even though I have been painting for nearly 15 years. But it's still awesome.
So I think you should just give it a try. It might work, or might not, but you'll never know until you try.

Actually I feel the same with that one. I always save a lot of times when I do digital stuff, so I might be able to find the lineart of the other ones. I'll have a look at it when I get the time.

Something new I just started on.

A little update on my orc painting:



This is actually one of the first paintings that I have been really positive about from the beginning. I hope that I can stay like this. It's very motivating.

I'm now completely done with my orc. And already starting on a new painting.

Thanks! I'm actually considering painting another orc after I'm done with the next two paintings I have planned. I had so much fun painting this one.

So, I finally started on another orc. He's not WoW inspired as the other one was. But the painting is coming along good so far. I felt bold and chose something where you can see both hands. And I'm okay with how they look so far.
