Pay Pal?

I just created an account because I'd like to buy some gems for Flight Rising and they only take Pay Pal or Google Wallet. I'm a little nervous though... Is Pay Pal really safe? This seems like a disaster waiting to happen? >.<

It's very safe! The only thing you absolutely SHOULD NOT DO is change countries without first shutting down your paypal (if you plan to use it in that other country). Shut it down and make a new one, otherwise you'll lose everything you had stored there because your account will be "compromised". Even if you call, they won't change it.
But, honestly, it's a great site. I use it all the time.

Awesome! Ok so I am correct in that I WAS supposed to link my bank account AND my card? How would I use it per say to pay for gems on FR? Do you just log in and charge it or? Sorry I've never done it before.

You should be able to do all of it from FR! (And yes, you need to put in both your bank account and your card, as well as keep an eye on your finances so you can see the amount they put in and take out, as it will be a question you have to answer.) Go to buy gems, click the amount you want, then log in with paypal and it should be easy after that (I don't currently have the finances to check what happens next).

Pay pal is perfectly safe, and what I've been using for years for online purchases (including FR). So no worries ^^.

They can also refund money if say you buy something on eBay and it never rocks up etc. In Australia we can anyway cause of our consumer protection laws.
Paypal is very awesome and i've been using it for 8yrs now, never had any issue.

They can also decide to lock your account for no good reason, and make your life an absolute pain while you try to convince their so called "service staff" to actually provide some, you know, service and restore access to your own money. I speak from personal experience, and therefore refuse to actually have an account with them any more. I can't avoid it when they're just used as a payment processor, but at least then they're in no position to lock down my money. There's more than one "paypal sucks" site on the net, in case you want more detail/stories.
With Paypal I'd say it's a case of "great when it works, but heaven help you when it doesn't (because paypal certainly won't)". My $.02.

Eh I've never had an issue with them and I've used them for years for commission payments. There really is no better way for that kind of thing that I can use. A lot of the people who want commissions from me are from over seas and Pay pal makes it WAY way more easy and safe for me then giving them my bank details. More so when they don't charge for exchange fees for amounts over $100 or so. Hell I just wait until I have over the limit in funds before I exchange/withdraw it and they don't take a cut
I've seen those sites and some of the stories I can't tell if they are real or not. :S
