Wanted to clarify something before ppl get hopeful...

the Ironside Warwolf from the Laughing Skull faction (Horde's answer to Sha'tari Defense and their Iron Horde elekk) is NOT the Iron Horde wolf. It is an armored grey standard WoD wolf.

The Iron Horde wolf is still no where to be seen (minus npc's)

Yeah, though Spiritbinder pointed out an inconsistency to me with that...

The Alliance equivalent mount IS the Iron Horde-style elekk, so you'd expect that the Horde one would be the Iron Horde-style wolf. So it's possible it'll change yet. I'm still convinced the Snarler is the wrong colour in the journal and that still hasn't changed.

On the other hand, the flavour text for the Ironside Wolf refers to a spike that only exists on the standard model, not the Iron Horde one. So maybe they really don't intend for the Alliance and Horde to match.

I know there's a building to unlock them, but I can't remember which it is. Is it the inn?

Ahh okay, thanks. That's a medium building isn't it? Or is it small? If it's a large building it'll have to be built with my druid. My hunters large plot of land is reserved for a stables

That armoured grey wolf is lovely. The vials on the side are a neat touch, and I think I can get used to the horrible run if it looks that damn good. Any clue on how to get rep with them? I'm thinking it's a daily hub, or you complete things in the garrison for rep.

Also, has anyone tested the mount special of the new wolf models? The vicious war wolf will lean down and snarl, but also howls. Do these new models do this too? Not really bothered, but I quite like that howl they do

The Red Hearthsteed or Copper Zhevra would both fit the name. It does seem more likely to be the former, though. Of course it could also be an entirely new model we haven't seen yet.

It could also be a variant of the warforged nightmare. Though the red hearthpony is built and I haven't seen any palette swaps of the nightmare yet.

I want that cinderpony but I don't have anyone to invite. >_< And I sure don't need a third account.

There's still the blue on in the database, which predates the red one. But yeah, doesn't really fit the "cinder" name :/

I'm leaning more on 'new model entirely' as the mount has a connection to Ragnaros according to the description. He was planning on giving one to a daughter he'd never have.

Oh intriguing Where are you seeing the flavour text? I haven't seen it posted on Wowhead or MMO-C yet.

EDIT: also just noticed it's in the GROUND mount category. It could be a mistake, but if true then it rules out the red hearthsteed. (And it could easily be a mistaken leftover category, since that spell ID used to be for a "mini cow" mount and they haven't even changed the icon yet!)

I really hope the ancient leatherhide and Warsong Direfang make it in. They fit my main SO well and I just love their color schemes. I'll at least be able to have both as pets, but a mount would be beyond awesome.

Oh that's interesting Maybe they weren't intentional removals afterall, though it seems a big coincidence that just the ones with no source were deleted.

Changed the flags on WCM for those mounts that were added back to the journal, so it no longer says they're removed. Thanks again for the heads-up
