So I just tamed the Strider Clutchmother, but I have one question: is that her name, or is it just a class (for lack of a better word) of tallstrider (like the prowler, or snow leopard)?

I think it's more of a class, because it doesn't really sound very name-y.

I'd call it her title!

I agree with Acherontia, it sounds more like a title. She's important!!! There are plenty of tallstriders and stuff, but there can only be one Strider Clutchmother!!!

I wasn't too sure if that was her actual name, or not; however, I'm going to use it as her name, regardless.

Oh no!

I was browsing Wowhead, and found out that there's a Clutchmother Zavas! That means Strider Clutchmother isn't the only clutchmother...

So what should I do? Re-tame it, then name it differently, or just keep her?

Do whatever you want. Clutchmother seems like a perfectly acceptable name for me.

If I knew what to do, I wouldn't be asking.

I'm very anal when it comes to this sort of thing. I guess I embrace the "hunter spirit" a little too much.

Get one of those Certificates of Ownership and rename her?

Well you can rename her if you really don't want her named Clutchmother anymore.

If it's any help, I took the Clutchmother as a title and named mine Mizu, which is Japanese for water. I thought it worked with her colouring, which reminded me of the way an ocean sunset looks.

@zedxrgal: I can probably do that. I'll assume you used that certificate to re-name her.

I think I'm going to research that certificare Teigan mentioned, and re-name her, because as I've said, there's another beast with "Clutchmother" in the name. It seems more of a title, name an actual name, really.

The certificate is from Inscription, has easy to acquire + cheap mats, should be easy to get as long as scribes are not an endangered species on your server/faction. ^^
