What about fungal hydras? (No, I haven't heard anything about fungal hydras.)

Hydras hydras hydras

Well hydras are native to Draenor, as there are plenty of them in Outland, however there are no hydras in Outland that don't use the outland model.

This is also true of Chimaeras in Outlands, only using the Outlands Model.

However.... with the recent discovery of a new Chimaera model that looks much more like a vanilla model of a Chimaera compared to that of the outland version (in fact it looks much more "Savage" from the small amount of footage it was seen in) it begs the questions...

Will we now see Vanilla versions of Hydras in Draenor, and/or even a new model, that is even more "Savage" looking in its stead?

And lastly... will they be tameable

While labelled "chimera" (which it ultimately doesn't seem to have been used for), this concept art would also make a pretty cool head for a new hydra. Here's hoping they get something they can like enough to make tameable. Funny that they're only holding them back because they don't like the current models when the actual players are clamouring for them.

Who knows, if Chimaeras are now possibly becomeing mounts, maybe they'll let us ride....

I hope so. I always found is frustrating that they held them back due to the animation. Haveyou ever seen one of those new arcane serpents?! they are sooo messed up. they spaz out at high speeds, seem to glitch through themselves when they idle and they swim through the ground. But they still let us tame those and hunters love them.
old model, new model, glitchy or not, lets hope for some hydras!

We have so many other hunter pets that use really old Vanilla models, it is a bit strange. I guess I could also understand if they wanted to save them as something big though. Not giving up hope that I might have my Unagi some day!
