Skip forward to 3:50.
If you've never seen a prehensile-tailed porcupine before, it's one of the coolest and most bizarre mammals I've ever seen. It really is like a little chattering alien, or some sort of anime creature.

Neat, I didn't know about those porcupines!
But am I the only one wondering what either one of those guys was doing on a science show?

The guy with glasses is Hank Green and he is the brother of author John Green. Both of them are very bright individuals. If I remember correctly with this show he frequently asks guests to come and join him. That time it was Michael Aranda. Hank is actually VERY smart. He invented glasses that turn 3D movies into 2D if I remember correctly, for people who have friends and such who want to see 3D but the 3D is too painful for them or they cannot see it. He's a big environmentalist and all around good natured guy. So I'd say he's more than qualified to be on a science show with animals. No offense meant, I'm just a fan of both the Greens.

No offense taken. If he appeared less intelligent than he is, it must be a side-effect of the porcupine cuteness

I thought so too. I thought he deliberately put on a bit of a nerdy look to match the whole science thing but maybe it's just him. The man, that is

It seems like both Hank and Michael do quite a bit of YouTube entrpreneurial stuff together. They have their own shows, but also "discovered" and produced this cool and enthusiastic woman who does
the Brain Scoop. I've never heard someone sound so earnestly passionate about their job as she. Anyway, I just think it's so awesome that the net has allowed so many talented people to find a voice and an audience without being blocked by tv and movie middle level execs. Nobody could have done this 20 years ago.
