Movies that are just too sad

The other thread about the reunion got me thinking of this...movies that have broken down my crusty man-exterior and made me cry. And subsequently are banned from my home! Here is the list;
Dumbo - Shut up, they put his mom in jail for protecting him!
Old Yeller - *sniff* Shut up!
Marley and Me - F&%k Owen Wilson for giving such a beautiful eulogy at the end. And shut up!
There may be more on my list (damn you Walt Disney) but those 3 are the worst. OK, now it's your turn...lets hear it.

Hmm... The twilight movies would count, as I cried from the stupidity, and all I watched was the trailer. Seriously, when a trailer is that bad...

Old Yeller was a total tear jerker.
Where the Red Fern Grows
ET made me
The Notebook
And yes Dumbo did me in to.
This is the part that did it to me

Those are the only ones I can think of

Okay, for some reason I found Donny Darko to be a bit sad. Plus, it has a BUNNY-RABBIT OF DOOM!

^ All of the above make me cry - this thread is now renamed - SHUT UP I WASNT CRYING thread. Titanic does it to me at the end I know so cliche and so does the remade Romeo and Juliet with Leo - the ending made me bawl. Dear John - I cried so hard..screw Sparks and his sad yet touching movies.

Personally I find Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron extremely sad - the first few times I watched it, I cried non stop.
Also almost all Disney movies make me burst into tears. I'm an extremely emotional person who's easily drawn into the feelings of the characters. :P

Oliver and Company...The very beginning got me to cry every time.
Last Samurai, just at the end. Not going to spoil it if people haven't seen it, but thinking about Cherry Blossoms for too long does me in now.

Pokemon Heroes: Latios and Latias. KYAAAA LATIOS DIIIIED! Same with The Rise of Darkrai when Darkrai dies... And in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew when Lucario died... And the first one, I still can't believe that I cry so much when Ash kinda dies.. >.<;
Hm.. Watership Down ALWAYS gets me crying when the song Bright Eyes starts playing.. Bah that scene is so sad.
And for some reason, I cannot think of any others.. Though I have cried at the end of the Miyazaki films.. Tears of joy of course.. But the endings to most of those movies always get me crying.

The Fox and the Hound. I don't think I used to cry at it when I was younger, but I decided to watch it a year or two ago and I was just biting back the tears, There have also been a quite a few scenes in a ton of Pokémon films that give me that sad tingly feeling.

I bawled like a baby while watching Bridge to Terabithia. I hadn't read the book (I know, I know, the books are always so much better) so I was completely unprepared. Just when I thought I was okay OH WAIT NOPE SORRY ENJOY YOUR SALTY TEARS someone says something tear-inducing. I swear I'm never watching that movie again.

I was also close to tears watching the beginning to Pixar's "Up" and the ending to "Wall-E". I love Pixar so much.

Beauty and the Beast - my favorite Disney movie EVAR, and the end (well, not very end, but when you think Beast is dying) gets me every single time, no matter how many times I see it. I was watching Avatar last night, one of the episodes made me cry, though I can't remember which one it was now. Let's see... as much as I hate to admit it, The Notebook made me cry like a little girl. I'm normally not much of a chick-flick woman, I prefer explosions and guns and things like that. But it was on TV so I watched it, and OMG, the end...ugh. Pretty much any of the Disney and/or Miyazaki movies make me teary at least (and I seriously love Miyazaki's work, btw).
Oh and the Bridge to Terabithia book made be bawl when I read it in elementary school. That one and Where the Red Fern Grows.

Why is it that you always read depressing books in elementary school?

Bridge to Terabithia, Old Yeller, ect. My sister read a book the other year that involved a dog dying because it's heart exploded after running so much or something horribly depressing like that.

This is sort of on par with the subject. I remember seeing an episode of 911 I think it was where a man got hurt of something and he and his dog were all alone in the mountains. The dog dragged the man back to his truck so he could get help, and the exertion ended up killing the dog. Oh man was that sad.

FMA series is sad. I cried at several parts the first time through.
Note: The link is to the trailer of the second version of it. Both are sad though, for the most part. First might be sadder though...

When it comes to tearjerker anime,
Clannad probably takes the cake for that (season 2 specifically). Amazing, beautiful story.
