A sign of thing to come????

I was in the Barrens last night looking for Azzere on my alt alliance hunter. And I saw alliance outriders riding through the Barrens. As many times I've been running through the Barrens, even questing there I've NEVER seen alliance just riding through like this. I only wish I'd got a shot of their map location.
Has anyone else encountered this band of alliance???

They weren't low level and were far from Northwatch Hold.

Those have always been there.

They've always been there, as others have said. They used to be gold elites, but now have the silver tag if I'm not mistaken.

Nah they've been there forever. If you kill them they drop a note that starts a quest.

The only change to them was the human male that was added at some point in the past (it used to only be night elves), but yup...they've been there as long as I can remember. ^^

I've never been flagged as PVP whenever I ganked them, or have been ganked by them. So that information is wrong.

What is interesting is that they all ride retired mounts that are still in theory to high a skill requirement even with the mount changes lol.

And yeah people don't gank them for the loot or for being 'rare'.

We gank them for all the bloody grief they give us when leveling an alt >:O

I've run across that band of alliance several times. Usually on my way to RFK or RFD.

Stitches.....You just had to go and mention that god aweful PITA. Level 35 elite that is hard for a level 40 in blues to solo. Talk about flashbacks to everyone in the zone running back to town waiting for the NPCs to engage him, slaughter them then pray that the players can finish him off.

Haha, I gotta say I really love those Zone Elites though. They add a sense of thrill and danger when you're out in the world. I suppose the same reason that I miss my old PvP realm sometimes. I didn't exactly like being ganked, but the fact that you could encounter an enemy almost anywhere and had to stay on your toes really heightened the questing experience for me back in the day.

Luzran and Knucklerot definitely brought back that Stitches feeling to Ghostlands. My first character years ago was an Alliance that I got up to Duskwood and that's still one of my favourite zones in the game. I loved the whole questline there.

I just love stitches and with my friends we would try to hunt him down when we were in our high 30's. Never really tried to solo him, but with our group of 3, we would go after stitches.

now as far as knucklerot and luzran. Soon as I got close to level 19, I would try and hunt them down to solo. Fond memories on bringing down elites.

Aye I remember questing in the Barrens and having to run from that group more than once. It was fun trying to kite and solo them... and dying. -_-

Haha, worst thing in the world when you're running around there as a low level and suddenly you hear 4 dismount sounds followed by female night elf aggros. Next thing you know you've been pwned.

They flag you? I kill them all the time and I've never been flagged. .-.

Eventually, I'll get my revenge on those guys. I've gotten revenge on Stiches several times.

Even at level 80 if I have a reason to be in Duskwood and Stitches is out and about I go out of my way to kill him. "Take that! Now you know how it feels!"

I suddenly have an urge to go hunt down Stitches...

Duskwood was creepy good fun the very first time. It's so spooky and ominous. And when the alarm goes out that Stitches is on his way down the road, demolishing the night watch along the way; that's just awesome. No matter where I go in that zone, even if I'm someplace where I should be safe, it still feels like there might be something dangerous just out of sight (and when you are level appropriate and all of a sudden this giant abomination walks into town and kills all the guards you're counting on to keep you safe, it sort of reinforces that).
