Now, just imagine if you have a level 69 Twink with a Quillen and a Pandarian Water Strider pet XD.

That's insane. Blizzard should make his character an instructor on the Wandering Isle or give him a title like "The Homebody" or "The Eternal Wanderer". I would never have the patience to do something like that. Heck, I don't even have any toons at 90 except my main.

Apparently he's spent 8 hours a day picking herbs on that character- every day. Every day since MoP launch.

Wow, that is one patient guy.

I remember the one that levelled her druid with no kills or quests completed, but this is even more crazy. lol

It's going to be awhile until the Level 80 video is uploaded. It's in the process of it though.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that or how that's even possible since everything stops giving xp after a certain time.

Herbs do no matter what lvl they are. Not as much as lvl appropiate ones but still get some xp :)

Yay, you're here. I hope you would document your journey as a neutral hunter as well!

But after awhile, it's gonna be like 1xp per pick. Then it's also taking away from the new players/characters, least I feel that way. Plus, now it's likely to be nerfed into the ground. ;-; That's what always happens when someone does this sort of thing. Pet battle xp got nerfed cause of a guildie of mine on Icecrown. Leveled 3 toons 1 - 90 just battling Lucky Yi in the valley cause he hated leveling so much(he even got banned for it too briefly until he contested it cause the email said he was given a warning when he wasnt). So yeah...now a bit worried.....especially with all the attention it's getting.

If he's only getting 1xp or something per pick then herbing xp is already working as it should. And due to the obvious effort it takes I doubt you'll see too many others trying it, so I don't imagine Blizz will react by doing something that would cause a negative impact to players overall.

Personally I enjoy seeing what players can pull off with enough time and effort, doing the seemingly impossible simply for the challenge of it. So while I think it's absolutely crazy, I am tickled by the idea of a max level neutral player toon since I think many secretly wished it was possible and now it might become a reality.

I got my Panda to level 25 on the Isle a long while back when the glitch was around where you could actually leave the isle as an unfactioned panda. Had fun in all the faction cities though was unable to talk to the other players aside from using pet names to speak. I may have to try this again, I'm sure I could find many ways to get off the isle at 80 xD

I will, my hunter is currently level 30. If I could log on both at same time he'd be much higher.

Actually as of Level 30 everything goes down to 10 (Peacebloom and Silverleaf) and 15 (Earthroot) all the way to level 90. Double those numbers if you're rested, which I haven't run out of since mid Level 50s.

Pet battles were "nerfed" because they were broken to start with. They gave way too much exp. Getting a character from 1-80 in a couple hours fighting lvl 1 rats in Stormwind isn't how it should work.

This, on the other hand, is completely different. This, in principle, is no different than changing professions at, say, 80 and have to level herbing or mining. You'll get a few bars while you level the profession. This takes that to the extreme, but there nothing nerf worthy or wrong with this.

Also, I doubt this has much impact on leveling players. The nodes and herbs respawn extremely quickly, within less than a minute.

In fact, its pretty amazing. I salute you, Doubleagent, on your persistence. It is most impressive. Congratulations on 80!

The blues have been following Doubleagent and have decided there's nothing to fear. If working 8 hours a day for this many days to get to 80 is breaking the game... that's concerning. ^.^ Seriously, this is so not at all breaking the game. It's just doing something totally weird and cool.

Congrats on 80, Doubleagent!

Have they? I haven't seen any blue posts on the subject so that's why I'm worried. I feel this is a legit concern to have. :( Already got pet battles nerfed to the ground cause people were 'having fun' or 'avoiding doing something'.

Considering Doubleagent predicts it will take them like 6 months to get from level 80-90... I'm pretty sure there's no fear of this being "nerfed." There's nothing game breaking about it; nodes at the low levels respawn extremely quick now, they don't appear to be going out of their way to negatively impact anyone (judging by the amount of supporters they have, I'd say it's the opposite), and since you're only getting 10xp per pick, it's not exactly like there's cause to run out and scream that his leveling is somehow OP.

This is a project that is likely to literally take nearly a year to complete leveling this way so I'm not really sure how that can be seen as game breaking or a means to nerf. Is it crazy? Yeah. It also requires an assload of patience. What *is* game breaking is someone actually finding a way off the island while remaining neutral. Shoot, I can remember crashing through the right walls and going underneath Dalaran, into the Kara crypts, under Kara, and underneath Wintergrasp up into the room thingy. xD This doesn't seem game breaking and I'm pretty sure if it were, Blizzard would have put a stop to it already considering all the attention its generated and how much time the person has already invested.

I hope you're right Tyger. I'm not putting him down or anything. I just still think it's a legit concern considering Blizz tends to get iffy about stuff like this.

Wow, I can't imagine the patience and dedication for something like that. Pretty neat! And I don't think it affects anything negatively, neither does Blizzard from the sounds of it.

A blue posted in the reddit thread there:
Has anyone from Blizzard ever contacted you about your method of leveling?

[–]NeutralAgent[S] 61 points 2 days ago
Not since around level 56 or so, was the last time they contacted me about it. It was deemed that It wasn't being harmful by me being confined to the starting zone or some such.

[–]devolore 85 points 2 days ago
I know a few of us are keeping tabs on your progress :P it's entirely out of morbid curiosity though.

I'll take your guys words on it. Not trying to be Negative Nancy about it. Blizz usually just jumps on these sorts of things so people cant do them ever again.

Junrei, I really think you are worrying too much. There's nothing wrong with what he's doing and Blizz has said so. Let him enjoy it, and celebrate his insanity...I mean accomplishment :)
