Soo.....

The Digital WoD order is coming soon... and the mount isn't the Iron Chimera that everyone either loves or hates...

So...

What's the new mount going to be? I don't remember anything else that's been found in the files, so any ideas? any unused mounts?

I'm guessing it might be a ground mount, with the no-fly until 6.1 in WoD...

Other then those, there are still a selection of Kirin and Bat mounts that exist within the database but have not been implemented in-game.
Warcraftmounts has an extensive list of "unused" Mounts.

Though personally I think it may be something we haven't yet seen before, or have only seen concept art for. the "Dragonfly" mount comes to mind.

But, as Slick pointed out, if it's purely a flying mount then it'll be a let-down until 6.1, so it would be best if it's something that works well as both. The same way that the quilen from the MoP CE still looks normal as a ground mount. The chimaera, however, does not. It flops from place to place like a fish out of water. So maybe its best they released it earlier and we're not made to suffer through hordes of players floundering from place to place.

I really can't imagine what a suitable creature might be, though.

Ya gotta admit, the flop mode and creep modes are cute and funny to watch. Rofl.

But I've really no idea what they're gonna do now.

I think that the chimeras run and walk modes are simply cute

We haven't seen many of the Draenor's fauna yet, so it's hard to speculate, but:

Boar - fits more for a dungeon/raid drop mount from an ogre instance
Wolf - kinda bland, we have many already, including the "new" model ones
Riverbeast - now that would be something... from the art it seems to be using similar skel to mushans, and we have those. I can't imagine slapping wings on one and making it fly, though
Chimera - I don't think so. So far the shop mount models were kept quite unique, at least for the newer, fancy ones
Stormcrow - I don't see it as a land mount
Dragonfly - again don't see it on ground, and hate constantly flapping mounts
Arrakoan Kaliri - see above
Mecha Gronn - OMGWTF Holly-J-on-a-Stick /NEED

Eee, I would love it to be one of those new boars!

I think a wolf would fit the iron horde, a new model one like the kor'kon wold model. Ofcourse it can't fly later which would be an issue maybe....

Yes, I'd like to see a wolf that non-raiding alliance could get. With us grounded for the first patch, I can see them using a ground mount for the CE.

I'd like a ravager ground mount. You'd sit on that little end of their butt or whatever it is that curves up and forms the perfect saddle area.

Well whatever it is. I just hope it isn't ugly.. xD
And I'd be totally cool with a ground mount.

A Elekk mount would be neat. I'd like one on my horde toons.

I was thinking on how many models form each faction the others can get. So help me on this (not counting class mounts):

Alliacne: Kodo,wolf,raptor,skelly horse,Hawkstrider,Scorpion

Horde: horse,cat,ram

I mean yeah some are easy to get and others are not but yeah I want a Elekk on my horde toon!

What the mount and pet will be will determine whether I get the CE or just the standard edition. The only CE I ever bought was MoP because I wanted the Quilen mount and pet and thought the extra $20 for both was a good deal.

I'm sure the Hearthsteed is for a Hearthstone promotional in the future (in fact, it was confirmed), and I have a hunch that the Stormcrow will be for a Heroes of the Storm promotion in the future. That, or another store mount. (god forbid )



Also, my best guess as to what the CE/Digital Deluxe mount and pet could be would be the Dragonfly mount and a "chibi" version as pet.


But let's be honest. What we really need as a Collector's Edition reward for WaIlords of Draenor is a Flying Fungal Whale. JUST IMAGINE IT! IMAGINE IT! Willy the Flying Fungal Whale; our Lord and Saviour.
