DA has become a place where I fill my art isn't safe to be posted there anymore so I'm wondering where I can find other sites to upload my art too. I know some places are elitist and would take down some of my stuff in a heart beat because it isnt professional enough. Tumblr is out of the question because it requires me to actually have ppl watching me and more chances of something taking my work and claiming it for their own.

What troubles are you having with DA?

I'm not having troubles but everyone else is. There seems to be an on going art theft and lazy admins that wont do their job kinda thing. I just want a nicer place or something new for a change.

There is no "safe" place on the internet. Once something is put on the internet it's there FOREVER. If you fear someone is going to take your art then you have to make it harder for someone to re-use it. That means things like water marks! That person you linked too I see does not do that! That's what watermarks and other things are made for.

The only other option you have is not to put it online. :/

I just want a different place to upload art. I've been on one site for years. You get tired of the same thing cow.

Then try Inkbunny or that furry one or that wessel one thing I forgot its name. I can't think of anything else besides making your own website.

(Though I haven't updated it in forever)

Once you put it online, it's there forever. Just cause you leave DA doesn't mean stuff won't still happen.

Furaffinity has the same problems and is usually used for pornographic pictures.

Is it sad that I only know that site because of porn?

I was never worried about my art to begin with. I just applaud at some of the staff in DA and how they handle things now. Thats why I want to go somewhere else.

@Qinni It's odd. I've had nothing but good things come from DA's staff.

I spend alot of time in the complaints forum. So that where I have been hearing it from. That link I have up there has one using dealing with an admin that is well known for not handling problems that very well. Its my first of hearing it getting a lil more worst.

The only issue I've ever had with Da was that one time I had an art theift issue and they would not deal with it because they wanted to see a copy of my copyright of the art.

But that was my fualt to begin with (this was before I put my watermarks on my work) really. I kind of forgot you can't claim that something is a breach of copyright unless you have a real copyright on something XD Well at least DA wants real copyrights. IE the ones you pay for with lawers and stuff!

Really you don't have many choices that I know off. Like there is Furaffinity but that's not that good unless you post furry art or porn and Inkbunny is worse then Furaffinity and all I've seen of weasyl is snobishness. :/ Well from what I've seen at least!

I try and stay away from FF because my brother used it for the longest time, I'm scared.

Depending on where you live it can be easy to protect yourself in some ways. I'm in the US so I can only say for there, but you can go the government's website and copyright your entire portfolio for about $35 dollars. Of course it doesn't help though if it's fan art : /

I already copy right my art already c: but this wasnt about protecting my art. It was about how some of the staff treat the members.

Also I suck at fanart so its good I can only make OC (original content)
