The Story of my Favourite Dragon...[image heavy]

I just wanted to share with you guys a really lovely (but very weird!) story...

Back in April last year, I lost my little hound. Zak meant everything to me, as through rough times at high school and terrible illness that has left me disabled, he was always there. This is Zakariah <3

Image

He was the unofficial guild mascot in WoW - everytime we went on a raid, you could guarantee that Zak would want to go outside just as we were about to pull the boss we were struggling on (he was diabetic, so needed regular toilet trips, but regardless of preparation, he always waited for the RL to ask 'ready' over voice chat ). Guildies asked about him, some even suggested he was an epic boss in himself (level 99 elite rare).

I've drifted away from WoW after loosing Zak, the guild nose-dived thanks to a favouritism to real life friends. I joined FR in October, and I knew I had to have a dragon in memorial to my little hound. So I saved up for a week to buy this chap:

Now Zakariah snapper needed a mate, and Zak the sausage dog's favourite toy was a duck:

So..... another weeks worth of grinding and saving (these snappers were expensive back in Oct/Nov!)....

I have another sausage hound, Jaffa, who was as devastated as we were when Zak left to the rainbow bridge, but unlike us humans, we couldn't talk it over with him and help him understand what had happened (he had visited the very poorly Zak in doggy hospital, but he didn't understand why he was so ill). So, on the advice of our vet, this little demon puppy came home in June last year:

His name is Sweep :)

Now, I decided to breed Zak & Duckie for fun, and despite having a HUGGGEEEEE range of every colour under the sun, their 4 babies looked like this:

What is that? O_O A mini Zak and a mini Duckie!!!!! :O But no, it's not a mini Zak, it's a Sweep! :D

Sweep Snapper now lives with my sister, and he isn't so cute and little anymore  But then again, neither is the real Sweep:

I've kept the other 3 babies, and will probably do so forever. I just couldn't believe my luck, I expected boring uninteresting babies, I just wanted to breed them for Zak's memory <3

I'm sorry if I've rambled on, but my friends think I'm crazy for loving my hounds as much as I do, so I'm guessing they won't get my pixel dragons at all

Do you have a dragon with a story? :D

P.S This is why Sweep is a demon xD

Jaffa loves him though :D

This was a very touching story thanks though I'm sure my office mates think I'm nuts for tearing up looking at the computer.

Thanks guys :') Am sorry Syleye - that wasn't my intention :) I just had to share how amazing it was that they had a baby just like our new hound :) He just needs a clown gene and seraph I think, and he'd be perfect <3

It was so hard to start with, but now I can finally look back and think of Zak with a smile, and as silly as it sounds, I think the hunting for his dragon-self and his lady helped me heal (I spent weeks searching, they had to be just right!) :D If I had lair space, I would breed him and Duckie forever and ever (baby Zaks!! :D), I'm a big fan of huge colour ranges - the surprise of what hatches its so much fun :)

Thank you everyone  :D
