lol yeah this is me just thinking again like the idiot i am this morning

awhile back i had the enchant Enchant 2H Weapon - Scourgebane when i was only 'hardcore' in icc
now alot asked me why do i have this when Enchant 2H Weapon - Massacre is better

read the Scourgebane ....

increase attack power against Undead by 140

hhmm well i dont know but i think ... just guessing here really ... that the mobs in ICC might be undead .. not sure but hey
look for yourself
ofc there is the odd human and ooze and robot
but all teh attackable bosses and most mobs are undead to
so why shouldnt i of used it? ... its common sence tbh when you think about it
oh im going to raid icc and the mobs are undead ooo that enchant gives me 140 ap againts them compared to 110 thats +30
yeah not alot but hey its still a plus right?
nowdays i have to weaps one with 140 ap againts uds and the normal 110 ap for raiding and hcs

so i dont inderstand why more people havent done it? for hcs you can jsut get any weap i ran about with Orca-Hunter's Harpoon for a long time ...
idk just something milling about in my head someone might find useful or some people may be againts

and fyi im not saying you have to do it

Are you sure this applies to ranged AP and not Melee ap? Also Scourgebane is alot like any specific enchant. Sure it's good when you're going to steadily be fighting one sort of mob, but come cata or any TBC raid and it's pretty much useless.

But anyways yeah, does it raid melee AP or ranged AP?

when i have it on in icc i did do more dps (and that even when i had 0 fps)
idk im gonna test it more when i log in cas a mates been trying it saying he cant tell teh differance

i remeber alot using in teh days of naxx

Since it doesn't say "Melee Attack Power", just "Attack Power", I'd have to say ranged is affected too.

why not use zerking?

procs an insane amount of time and 400 AP isnt anything to shake a stick at.

Enchant Weapon - Berserking doesnt work on ranged attacks

lol, ive been using zerking since WoTLK came out and i never noticed that.

When I use twohanders in ICC, this is what I run with. I usually have bad luck with getting those, so I tend to run with two onehanders instead. Just a shame there's no onehanded scourgebane.

yeah it sucks im still using the two hander from ToC 25 (i was lucky to get two .. and fyi no i didnt ninja the 2nd one no one else needed it and since i found a use for it and gave up a shard no one cared)

its just ive seen it enchant going un noticed to raiders .... alot in my guild didnt understand why i was making the dps to get it
but hey im just a healer what do i know :/

I would only not use it because I'm unsure if situational AP effects pet.

Well, if you're in ICC, and you're serious enough to use tactics like this one, you're unlikely to have any serious DPS from your pet anyway.

I am a bm raider and even with this enchant my dps went up so im guessing it might effect my pet i will test it as soon as i can

since pet damage scales from AP, and your AP is increasing when fighting undead, it should work that the enchant is also effecting your pets.

Nope, doesn't work that way. Buffs on you will NOT transfer to your pet, that's why BM hunters are complaining about pallies skipping their pets and such. Pure stats transfer, but not buffs.

So this means in the long run, PVE wise;

for SV and MM, if the 140AP works for ranged power, Scourgebane is good.

for BM: pure 110 AP is good.

right?

I use Massacre myself, but that's a matter of my personal preference because while the extra AP from Scourgebane might be nice, if we decide to raid anywhere else, then I either have to suicide on, gem, and enchant a second weapon to swap out for when we're not targeting undead, or essentially go into those fights with an unenchanted weapon. It's a convenience/versatility thing for me.

again im BM and with it my dps still went up so its ok for bms to imo

and tbh raiding most people just do icc now so its ok
and if you do something else (tat you totally out gear) then a simple hc staff is ok

i even a caster staff i have the 110 ap on ap gems and its just for hcs and yes they knwo im joking on but i still do really good dps in hcs so no one calls me out on it

Why should I slack and say "oh, it's just Ulduar" when the entire reason I'm there is to finish off getting rusted proto-drakes, which, as we've found out, isn't easy even in Icecrown gear? I'm going to bring my absolute best to a raid, regardless if that raid is Icecrown Citadel or VoA. And I never said the enchant wasn't "okay for BM." I said it seemed too situational for my preferences.

She used the enchant as BM, and her DPS got up.

She also stated, that most people just farm ICC now.
In other raids, it would'nt matter, so she goes with a simple staff she got from a heroic.,

She also has a caster staff with gems and enchants for joking.
