Dread Hatchling

There's been a lot of talk on our mount forum about the new Dread Raven mount:

but there's also a new companion pet to go with it, the Dread Hatchling:
This even more cements the theory that these are intended to be the Collector's Edition rewards for WoD.
What's also interesting, however, is that this minipet matches the old Raven Lord more closely in style than it does the new mount. Then I noticed this new spell in the database:

It seems to be triggered by the original Raven Lord, and sounds like it might cause some sort of cosmetic love effect (maybe a few hearts?) between mount and minipet. At least that's what I'm guessing so far. It makes sense for the pet to have a link to the old mount, since it's unlikely to be able to fly and follow the new one.

I'm interested in the Raven Lord and Dread Hatchling interaction. It's interesting, and it rewards those who got the old Raven Lord. Which is cool of Blizzard, it adds that extra bit that makes us love WoW. Y'know? Those extra few centimeters that make you go "well that's awesome."
I will continue trying to get the Raven Lord from Anzu, but even if I don't, I still think it's cool that the Raven Lord owners will get something like this, no matter how small it is.

It could also be done because the flying one can't be used right away in Draenor.

The new mount has ground animations, pretty sure we will be able to also use it as a ground mount.

Of course we know this is subject to change, but I figured I would link it anyway, the early battle pet move set for Dread Hatchling. They gave this thing a dark vibe..

seems like you could make it either a stapple darkness team member, or a self-healing buffer. Can't wait to play with it!
Anyone's got its lvl25 stats?

Nah don't worry about that, you're perfectly fine. That mini pet IS adorable, and that's a fact! I can't wait to get mine, whenever they decide to release it.

Is the flying Raven Lord going to be the Collector's Edition mount?
If so...I hope they'll make a bird that will match these mounts' colors...so everything can match together.
