So, this is weird.

Yesterday night, just before server shutdown, Loque'Nahak was spawned. I have never been a huge fan of the model but I love the skin. I took some screenshots to post in the Rares in the Wild thread, then headed off to Borean Tundra to quest. There were only two other lvl 80 hunters online (non-bot ones, anyway), and neither wanted the pet.

Well, I was informed that a certain shaman who won't be named ( ) was going to go kill the creature. I arrived as he began counting down on voicechat "STORMSTRIKE IN 9... 8..." I shouted NOOOOO and abandoned my trusty tankbear, and tamed it. He let me tame, and I said well, I'll play with the kitty for a day or two (this is now 2 minutes before server shutdown, so it's tame or bust) and then retame my bear.

I named him Stormstrike and played with him a bit. I didn't quite click but something WAS weird; he kept doing weird things like running in random directions or attacking a mob that hadn't aggroed after a fight. Eventually I took him out to Zul'Drak to Har'koa, and released him there.

I ambled on to Winterspring and re-tamed a Winterspring Pridewatcher (big purple guys) that I've always liked, and that I'd tamed before taming Gondria ages ago. I'd always regretted abandoning it, so figured I'd give it another shot before retaming Rotclaw the bear.

I brought the cat to Dalaran where my guildmate priest invited me to a group to levitate the cat. It didn't have a levitate animation.

Jokingly I said, well, I'm going to pop back over to Sholazar and grab Loque'Nahak again and we can see if HE has one.

He was there. In the same exact spot. 3 am. I was flabbergasted. Needless to say I've retamed it, mostly because I think "IT'S MEANT TO BE?!" when such weird coincidences happen.

I've named him Regret this time, for a number of reasons, and I'll see how he strikes me. I intend to get this one to 80 and have a real try at seeing if he and I click.

How weird is this though?! Two Loques within 24 hours!! So what do you think, is there fate in WoW? Was this meant to be?




Oh and by the way, no, he has no levitate animation

Gratz X 2. lol I've had that same animation glitch with Skoll. He'd randomly run all over the place in a fight and not attack the target. And no, he wasn't feared. It was quick short runs with the dash animation.

Haha. I'd definitely find my superstitious side if I was in your shoes... I'd have retamed too.

My Arcturis tame felt like that. I was surfing and felt an itch to log on and fly out, looked up his spawn point as I was in flight, got there, and just as I told myself to leave cause he clearly wasn't there, he spawned. It's funny cause I feel so attached to him for that. It's like he came just for me.

I say definitely hang onto him til at least 80. Finding him twice in 24 hours is like he's begging you to give him a shot. Lazer kitty says, "Pwease?".

i have personally tamed Loque 3 times, i just can't seem to be able to let him get killed.. sometimes i just feel i need to be in Sholazar, and there he is, pacing up and down, waiting for his future to be decided:p i call him Insomnia, for all the sleepless nights he gave to many hunters

And yes. Looks like the kitty wants to join you. I would want to join a hunter if I were Loque. Too many people all wanting to kill me? Yeah.

i had the same issue on lowbie pets i leveld in icecrown. they would run and attack anything that got close even if it hadent aggro on us yet.
this "habbit" dissapered when they hit 80, however.

I'm a big believer of fate and destiny in real life, WoW is no different. =) I think it's meant to be. <3

Congrats on the great (re)tame, thats quite a story, pretty awesome that he spawned for you twice, he went home and just sat there waiting for you I think
Id say try him out and see how its like, I didnt like loque at all so I wasnt going to go look for him, but I ended up going to shola to see if Aotona was up, did some flybys at her spawn points and figured why not check? and he was there waiting for me haha and now Raiden is by far my fave.
But I am thinking for sure meant to be

Hee, I'm a pretty big advocate of fate situations like that, so I fully agree it seems that it was meant to be. I had no interest in Loque at first until I decided to try him for myself...now I could never release him, I just fell for him completely. ^^
