Well it looks like Silencing and Scatter Shot will be things of the past come WoD, as mentioned in blue posts just recently.

Honestly, this makes me a sad panda, as I've always used both shots quite a bit.

What thoughts do other folks have on this?

I hardly ever use scatter shot.

Hrm, that's a shame if they'll be gone, but I admit it probably won't affect me all too much.

I honestly didn't use either of them very often. Being BM all of my WoW life I was pretty used to living without Silencing Shot (even now I forget I have it sometimes), and Scatter Shot was more of a situational ability and I hardly ever found need to use it. They can both come in handy for sure, but for me personally I doubt I'll miss them to any great degree.

I admit Silencing shot has been a life saver many a time for me.

I'll miss Silencing Shot but Scattershot was just a griefer's tool back in Cata. I hated it.

I hope mobs and pvp healers get nerfed accordingly with the oncoming removal of so much cc. I know there are some boss fights and solo encounters where silencing shot was a mandatory thing and arena/bg healers were a nightmare even with lots of cc. I always get nervous when they take away cc abilities but since everyone is going to go through the same thing I think it will be ok.

Wow, my Gunslinger in Aion is looking better and better by the minute.

Never ever used Scatter Shot and I play mostly BM, so I never really used Silencing Shot either. Won't effect me much! But I recognize that this could be pretty detrimental to PvP players. >.<

I very rarely used either one. We're keeping Counter so it's fine with me.

I am trying to reserve judgement on all the changes until everything's been revealed. Like every expansion there is going to be a plethora of changes, and balancing. Although I have made more use out of scatter shot this expansion, it's more a small institutional ability of when I am to lazy to ice trap something.

I only ever used Silencing Shot to interrupt, so the change to countershot didn't effect me. I do use scatter shot a lot though, both in pvp and pve. With mouse button 5, I scatter shot my mouseover (or current target). (Mouse button 4 is Intimidation on pettarget). I know some hunters would scatter shot their opponent into a ice cube trap, but that's too much coordination for me. I'm sure I'll adapt easily to life without scatter.

Losing silencing shot won't affect me much as I used it rarely. But I'll definitely miss scatter shot though as I use it constantly.

I used Scatter so infrequently that I almost always forgot I even had it. Many times it wasn't even in my action bars. I won't miss it.

i hardly ever use my scatter shot either tbh.. though i guess its good because in pvp, scatter,trap,fling lol. *waves* bye bye scatter.

Scatter shot saved me hundreds of times in PVP. =(
