I'm going to start the farm for the blue drake with my huntress but I'm nervous on soloing Maly. She's 89 and wonder should I wait to get to 90?

I want to have Azure Drake's sister to join her, what are some suggestions/advice for first farm in 7 months!

I would get the toon to 90 and slap on as much Timeless Isle gear as you can. The damage output between a 89 and a semi geared 90 is pretty noticeable. Also higher ilvl translates to better stats on the drake in P3.

It couldn't hurt, though he was certainly soloable at 85. It's even easier now, and the better gear you have the faster you'll get him down. All you have to worry about on the fight is the abilities 1, 2, 3 on the vehicle action bar once you get to the drake part. Keep your heal at 5 stacks at all times (ability 3), then alternate between spamming 1 a few times and 2 until he's dead.

I think the rotation was something like 1,1,1,2,3? or 1,1,2,3. its been months for me sorry. you really should wait till 90. you can try it on a 89 but I struggled with the fights on my alt until I hit 90. at 90 there really isint that much to worry about even if you are in noob gear.
Good luck on getting the mount. he drops both blue and Azure and chances are you will see one mount drop twice.

Sounds right Sylvia! I just ran Malygos and the rotation I use is:
3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (just at the very beginning to get your 5 stacks)
and then
1, 1, 1, 2, 3 (rinse and repeat)
I tend to be able to get him down to at least 30% health before the final phase. Make sure to keep DPSing him as much as possible, there's a short time while he switches phases where he can still be targeted as he's going through his speech and flying away, so if you follow him and keep shooting you can shave off a bit more of his hp. I have never soloed him before so I'm going to try what you guys are saying too :3 I have the blue one but I got it from a bag from that H. It's always good to have an extra mount

Also silly question but it's from N or H maly?

Normal 10m is fine! I think it drops in all versions.

Yup, follow this exactly. 3 3 3 3 3 at the start of P3, and then either 1 1 2 3 (if you tend to lag like me) or 1 1 1 2 3. You don't need to move around much, just stay still on the drake until he throws out the big lightning cloud looking thing that sparks the area you're in, then simply sidestep out of it while sticking with the rotation.

Both mounts can drop off any version of this encounter, and both can drop in the same raid.

I have tried so far twice to solo Maly 10 on my 90 hunter, ilevel is 492 and I get him to 3rd phase and he enrages before I can finish him. I get so close! Any other tips you could give me? I really don't want to ask trade and don't have many RealId/friends right now since I've come back to ask for help. I really, really, want that drake!

Not a terribly useful tip, but, it'll go much easier if you get more gear. You clearly know how to do the fight if the only thing that's stopping you right now is the enrage.

With the ridiculous scaling of gear, even a few ilvls makes a big difference nowadays. Assuming you don't want to raid you still have options. The Timeless Isle gear is 496. If you get a few Burdens to use on those tokens then you'll have some 535 gear. Also make sure to do a Celestial boss each week and coin on it, you might be able to get your 2 piece tier bonus with 553s.

I got mine back during Wrath on a pally doing Occulas, that dungeon still wasn't worth it back in the day.
