From existing beasts...
Stags (its own new family)
Pythons (its own new family separate from serpents)
Giant Frogs/Toads
Pterrodax
Shoveltusk (potentially with goats but a new family is best)
Parrots (separate the parrots out of the birds of prey family and into their own)
Seagulls (not as a new family, but a new proper model instead of the critter model it has now)
Others...
Giant Rats
Giant Ants (not the silithid types. actual ants)
Giant Bees (maybe into wasp family but can easily be their own)

We've had a few (ok, many!) of these topics over time, but why the hell not?
I'll be selective (or I'd put down everything!)
If I was able to add more tameables, in addition to the three families already announced, I'd choose the following, based on what I thought might work/look best for WoD:
- convert goats to be a broader family (Herdbeast?) and include rams, yaks, antelopes, talbuks, shoveltusks and stags - Talbuks would provide a link to the new expansion and I just don't feel that goats worked all that well as their own family, but that's probably just personal opinion
- merge clefthooves and rhinos - Clefthooves would provide a link to the new expansion
- split arcane wyrms away from Serpents and merge them with mana wyrms to make a new Arcane Serpent family with magic-related specials - not sure if mana wyrms will appear on Draenor or if they only showed up after the world shattered, but they definitely had a link to Outland
- create a Thunder Lizard family, composed of mushan, stegodons (and maybe kodos if they really are lizards) - no direct links to Draenor, but they just have that "look"
- Pterodactyls as a new family - again, they have that "look"
- add pythons to the Serpent family

I will try and avoid repeating some of the more common animals already listed here.
pets that would may require their own family, should they add more families alter on.
sky screamers and other dinos (or lump them in with another existing dino family, although I can't imagine what you would call the family after that.)
cloud serpents, (could possibly go in the snake or wind serpent family. Just a reminder to everyone that cloud serpents are not considered dragons by wow lore and are labeled as beasts.)
sprite darters could be interesting but they may be borderline too intelligent so I wont mess with that one.
add to existing families
the flaming hounds from firelands (dogs)
larva/grubs like the amber parasite ( worms)
kuchongs and Nerubian flyers. (silithid)
phoenix (spirit beast)
old and new Anzu models ( bird of pray. although the anzu boss could fit in the raptor family. how awesome would that be? feathered raptors!)
pythons (snake)
Diemetradon (basilisk/crocklisk perhaps?)
Mana worms (worms?)
Rams, talbuk (goat) *maybe stag? probably not.*
Ravengers need some love. a new creepy ravenger model would be neat- although I am not big on them personally.
*whispers* new warp stalkers.

I want Gyreworms to be the "opposite" of the regular Worms. Instead of the big AOE and Physical debuff, they could have a lava/heated earth AOE and the Spell Damage debuff!
Also, updated Cat models would be nice. Along with any older pets that need love.

Kodos are reptiles, so they cannot be part of the Rhino group, unless it is renamed into something like 'Behemoth'.

my short list:
Sand Reavers (Silithids)
Rams (Goats)
Pythons (Serpents)
Bees (Wasps) --while a fluffy bee model would be nice, I'd love to just see striped versions of the existing models
Larvae (Worms) --silkworms are already tameable, and many of us have the larvae that were temporarily available
Flaming Hounds (Spirit Beasts) --would make a striking SB, and could be associated with the Iron Horde war machine
(and looking to the future past 6.0) new families:
Frogs --we really need some amphibians!
Beavers/Giant Rats (Rodents)

You know what would be awesome? If Blizzard hosted a kind of poll that decided (or influenced) the next existing family to be made tamable. Kind of like how they (the exact developer's name has slipped my mind at the moment...) tweeted something like "what pets do you guys want to see in WoD?"
Since Hydras are now finally tamable, I think, just judging from these threads that pop up every two weeks, the most popular choices are
Pterrorwings
Hoofed Animals (A generous grouping, as Wain suggested: Yaks, Talbuks, Clefthooves, etc.)
Mushan
Pythons
Kunchong
There are several more that I and many others want, but I really hope Blizzard takes a hint for the future with these "top five"...

They could rename the shale spider family shale beasts and toss the worms into that family too. Personally I think shale spiders are looking good right now, while worms still need a buff to their aoe to contend with beastcleave.

Hydras were my most wanted before so my main wants are:
Wyverns (possibly renamed? Chimera family?)
Cinder Hounds (Wolves or Spirit Beasts)
after them
MORE DOGS
Pterrordaxes
Sand Reavers (Silithid)
Kunchong (Silithid)
the rest of the Larvae models
Those giant frogs
Diemetradon (Crocs or Basilisks?)
Thunder Lizards
Rams (Goats)
Yaks and Mushan (should have been in in MoP imo...)

While I would love Anzu, I feel Anzu would be better considered a raptor than a bird of prey. The body type and activity is more 'raptor' to me than 'bird'. That's just my feelings, though, rather than direct lore!
I've addressed my own ideas directly to Twitter, but to sum them up:
Add rams as part of goats, and maybe add other hoofed mammals in, or in their own family.
Add diemetradons as Crocolisks, although I wouldn't be adverse to them getting their own family.

I've always wanted a Diemetrodon. The rest I don't care about.

Sorry to derail this train a tiny bit but even they say they're a reptile I think the belong closer to the clefthoof /rhino families. I mean. They have a wooly Kodo! If it was feathers I could see on a reptile. But wool /fur screams mammal to me.
I'm done derailing now. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Kodo are massive reptiles with thick leathery skin that ranges in color from sandy brown to black. Most kodo have a large horn that sprouts from their nose, and some are even covered in thick woolly hair. Kodo range across central Kalimdor, but are particularly prevalent in Mulgore, where the rolling grassy plains are particularly suited to their omnivorous nature. Wild kodo are normally herbivorous, however, and will not attack unless threatened. In the waning years of their lives, kodo instinctively trek to this the Kodo Graveyard in the center of Kalimdor, where they spend their last hours. At the Kodo Graveyard there are even Kodo Spirits that have passed over to the spirit realm.

I must be a horrible reader then.
Anyway, during wc3, there was an official lore stating that Kodo Beast are related to Thunder Lizards, and there are articles of how Storm Crows likes to eat Kodo Eggs. So even if it'sa mammal, it cannot be group with Rhinos as laying eggs would be a monotreme's trait and a rhino is a placental mammal. Pseudo-hairs can exist outside of mammals; Tarantula, Hairy Frog etc.
Besides, the word 'Kodo' remimds me of the word Komodo; an island in Indonesia famous for its giant lizard; the Komodo Dragon.

I always wondered if kodos were reptiles or mammals. The Wowpedia article has never supplied a reference to support their claim that they are reptiles. If it was mentioned in WC3, though, at least that would be definitive. Do you have any references?

To be fair, Azeroth isn't earth, so, scientific terms like mammals or reptiles might or might not exist hence why any bestiaries or in game lore has yet stated it.
Having said, the closest thing I could find is here;
http://wowpedia.org/Storm_crow
In Mulgore, kodo beasts' nests are particular targets. Much of the murder will caw and raise a commotion above the kodo beasts' heads while one or two storm crows try to grab the eggs and fly away.
And the WOW rpg too stated Kodos as reptiles.
In the novel 'Cycle of Hatred'; the pre-wow novel, Aegwynn said that the word "kodo" referred also to thunder lizards

Gyroworms are elementals. They crossed the line from beast to elemental already.
Void Terrors are intelligent demons. No, hunters will never get anywhere near them.
Felhunters are demons. They crossed the line from beast to demon already.
There are similar scenarios involving undeads(such as fossilized raptors and undead eagles).
The flame hounds are a curious bunch. Up until battlefield barrens, flame hounds were elementals, however they are beasts in battlefield barrens. This seems weird because their makeup seems much more elemental than beast. So, I don't like the idea of taming these. However...
Fire hawks and flame cats(flame druid cat form but wild) both seem like they should be bestial enough to tame.
Barring those borderline exceptions, All beasts should be tameable.

Wasn't there a pre cata quest or two in the barrens that mentioned them as reptiles?
