Oh dear! I hope you get feeling better soon! :( If it helps, I've always found that taking walks with someone else (Or a pet!) is much nicer than going alone. Having someone to have a conversation with is always a nice way to pass a walk. If there happens to be any nature walks or parks in at least driving range, it's a whole lot nicer see all of the lovely green foliage and wildlife than asphalt.

If you have a camera, I can also suggest going on long walks to scenic places to take pictures. I do that every now and then. If you live in a city, it could be harder tough. But bring somebody! Walking alone is never particularly fun.

At least some good news. :)

Feel better soon, and take care of yourself. Swelling feet is definitely bad. :(

You should probably try to do a combination of 1-4 anyway, just to make sure that you don't suffer any possible adverse effects later on down the line.

Sad of the wakeup call good of the good news on the lap tests.
Yes quit smoking first. Exercising will help. Go for a walk, ride a bicycle. I also am going to suggest a system called Power 90.

If you have something like say ..................... *cough* torrent *cough* downloader you wouldn't have to pay the obnoxious price. But even paying for it is more then worth it. I have 3 heart problems. If I can do it, you can do it. ;)

We're here for you for sure!!

I'm glad it doesn't appear to be anything serious! But yeah, it can be a wakeup call. I always say we should all try to take the best care of our bodies as possible (since we only get one), but I'm definitely not the best example. While I don't smoke or drink, I have been gaining weight slowly but surely, and haven't been exercising as much. But, my friend and I started doing yoga a couple weeks ago and I actually really like it! Now I just have to try to eat better. I find myself making better food decisions here and there. For example, I'm giving up pop in favor of tea and coffee. I can't quit the caffeine, but I can try to at least cut out the high fructose corn syrup. It's the little decisions like that that can really add up. You don't have to go on some crash diet right away, just cut one thing out or change it to a better option and over time, you'll find yourself making more and more of those "little" decisions. :D

Good luck, girl! I'm rootin' for ya! <3

I'm doing the gum-tactic myself. They hand it out for free at the hospital. :D
It's not working very well for me, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right? :P

glad to hear good results Teig. You got me thinking now that maybe I should talk to a DR. But i have the same problems, smoking, too much fluff (according to Mrs Ves I'm not fat, I'm fluffy) and too little excercise. As Saturo said, walking with a camera is a great way to pass the time and if you are stuck in an urban jungle, look for interesting architecture to photo.
