Cloud Serpent/ Wind Serpent Rp?

So, I would like to rp having my Cloud Serpent as a pet. However, it's only able to be seen as a mount. I could use a Wind Serpent as a pet as a substitute, like the following

Would this be accepted as a Cloud Serpent? Thanks!

I personally wouldn't because the models look almost nothing alike to me, other personal reasons aside if we're basing this purely on appearance. Also rping a dragon as a hunter pet, while you could do it cause it's your character, is often frowned upon due to dragons, overall, being sentient and well respected beings of power and balance in the world of Azeroth. So just be prepared for that if you really want to do that.
To avoid people getting uppity in the rp community(regardless of what server you go on), you could just do a companion rather than an actual hunter pet. I do that with my monk's thundering golden serpent, Zuko. I even say he can go into his mini form like Cho's dragon can, allowing me to have the mini pet version out.
Just an idea to make this as painless as possible.

I figured that if we can have them as mounts, we can also have them as pets. Pandaruen used them at one point in war against the Zandalari, so I figured we can likewise use them for battle. Not saying Cloud Serpents are only good for battle, of course.

This debate comes up often but...mounts =/= tamed pets. Mounts are often raised from when they were young and befriended and are also respected. Mounts often don't go into battle to fight necessarily either. They just carry passengers and that's all. Cloud Serpents are also important to Pandaren culture so taming one to do your bidding will likely tick off many a Pandaren. The first Pandaren to befriend a cloud serpent(Jiang I believe?), respected it and cared for it. Jiang didn't tell it to attack the troll. It consciously chose to protect its friend from danger like you or I would have. Also from a lore aspect, Cloud Serpents bring balance to the land so taking them away from it to do your bidding wouldn't sit well with the Pandaren.
But again, it's your character to do with what you will. However, those that really like the lore and pay close attention to it will likely point out these same things.

If you're curious to learn what little bits of lore we do have on these beautiful dragons,
you can read up here. Knowledge is power! Woo!
EDIT: Oh and this was a recent topic on how people felt about tameable dragons -

I have one more comment. Thanks for the insight by the way on dragons - I'm new here. But, in the short story, Strength of Steel, the main character, at the end, wants to fight against Garrosh. Here's a link to the story if you want to read it.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/lore/d ... of-steel/1 Could this mean he and his Cloud Serpent would ride into battle during rebellion? Also, in the jade forest there is a place where the Cloud Serpents are attacking Saruok; protecting their eggs.
The reason I am asking this because of my rp direction for WoD. I'm planning my current friend, IronClaw, do die during the assault on the Dark Portal. Zaku has his other friend, Samedi (Cloud Serpent), would assist him in combat against the Iron Horde. I like this idea over taming another pet.
Thanks for your insight and views.

@Stilicho966777
No problem! I hope I didn't come off as rude or anything. I was just trying to help out a bit, especially since we're on the same server and I know how touchy people can get(That's not even just on MG). Plus the general way WoW seems to address dragons as they are sentient creatures, hence why hunters cannot tame them.
@Ziroth
Not quite. The rep will still be there but you just won't need to have it to ride your serpents once you have them.
