I like how the plot is that it's 22 years since the 3rd one and they made a fully working park but like everything else it's newness has worn off and not as many people are visiting any more so they have the bright idea to make a whole new dino breed something "bigger and bader" and then it all goes to shit

Yes there was...you didn't miss anything...except maybe a phone that somehow didn't die, dino poop...and sometimes the phone in poop...

One thing the 3rd one did was bring the dino Spinosaurus into the limelight. Hardly anyone knew about that before then. I sure as hell did not.
I will have to say I kind of liked the 3rd one but I wont lie it's not that good. I do have fears about this one too. Then again I had fears about Transformers 4 and that turned out to be the best one of the lot

I'm a dino nut but the 2nd film was quite shite due to the fact it was changed sooooooo much from the book (yes they are books!!!) The book for the The Lost Worold was 10x better than the film (also because the first half of the book is them discovering the 2nd island exsists cause they dont have the handy plot device of Hammond explaining it all like in the film) they also didnt have a t rex going bonkers in the city like in the film which was soooo Godzilla like it made me cringe.
The third film was all original as there wasnt a third book which for the most part made it better
If you haven't read the books i recommend them, its been a long time since i read them but i enjoyed them throughly at the time and Michael Crichton really was a great writer for his time imo.

The first book has a guy blowing up a raptor with a rocket gun if I remember correctly. That was pretty boss.
